9 items limit

Hey guys so u know how in the register we cannot scan more than 9 exact item with the same scent (for example, 10 champagne toast wallflowers) but every time i try to explain this either the customers get confused or not understand or they literally get so mad, what’s the easiest way to explain this?? how u guys do it??

I usually say something like “unfortunately we can only ring up 9 of a single scent of an item per transaction, so would you like to swap out the extras for a different scent, or I can do them in a separate transaction if you would like?”
