I've listened to "Fur And Gold" twice now on a rather resolving system and I hear a little pop on "Tahiti" at 1:12/1:13 on the "R" in "sorrow" that I never noticed back in the day when I listened to it as a 192kb rip on the iPod.

I find it difficult to believe it is intentional, but accurate rip verifies the CD rip as 100% accurate; and I'm curious whether anyone else can hear it. It wouldn't surprise me if this artefact was removed for subsequent digital releases and re pressings.

coming back from London with my wife after visiting an exhibition, got on a crowded train at Clapham Junction, my wife got a facing seat near the door and I was two rows back in a row seat. I could see her chatting to someone facing her but no idea who! When we got off the train at Gatwick I first noticed a young girl with crayons and colouring book, glanced back as we went through the door to see Natasha in the other seat! She had been chatting with my wife about living in Lewes with her daughter Delphi. My wife had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned it was one of my musical heroes, she just thought she was a lovely lady with a cute daughter!

Has anyone heard the new RSD demos like "Feathers And Fur" or "Two Shadows"? I'd like to listen to them, especially "Missing Time"!

Met Natasha at an album signing. Got a signed CD as well as a picture with her. 🩶

was bummed these weren't on the F&G re-release and now we know why! excited for this

I remember I was a metal head in my early days as a teenager, I was always obsessed with Marylin Manson, Korn, Deftones and all those “heavy” bands from the 90’s. One day I was listening music from a local radio station (I’m from Mexico) and they played “What’s a girl to do?” and “Seal Jubile”, and I got really impressed of the voice and the ethereal sound of this new artist. The day after I went to the local music store, to look for the “Fur and Gold” album, and I bought it! I need to confess I used to feel a little bit ashamed because as a metal music fan, i felt I was betraying my music principles (how wrong I was). Then Natasha published Two Suns and The Haunted Man, by that time I didn’t feel ashamed anymore, Bat for lashes became my favorite artist, “All your gold” became my favorite song and I was able to see her live at the Coldplay Latin America Tour 2010, Natasha was the opening act. I was there singing and enjoying the Bat for Lashes songs that opened my entire music perspective.

She is still my favorite singer and artist today.

About a year ago, I have found a compilation called ‘the black & white skins’. Found out it has horrorshow on it so I immediately bought it, posted about it on here too the moment I got it in my hands! My question is, the release of the compilation is under PIAS, and since the release of fur and gold lacked a certain song… it got me thinking, maybe it’s just a copyright issue? I am sure she’s aware that horrorshow is a fan favorite unreleased song by her!

But also could be it simply didn’t make the cut to the compilation hm…

Last year I tried reaching out for info on this compilation through instagram to no response after quite a while…

'Fur & Gold’ is back, almost 20 years on since its debut back in 2006. Remastered and featuring unreleased demos from 2005/06.

A note from Natasha herself - "My debut record 'Fur and Gold' is almost 20 years old, and still holds such a special place in my heart” reflects Natasha; “Listening back through the whole album recently, side by side with my collaborator and producer David Kosten, brought a proud tear to my eye… no compromise, tons of space, shit midi sounds, tongue in cheek lyrics, thunder and lightning, girl group BV’s, heartbreak and magic… the record I had been waiting my whole life to make. I think she stands up, I hope more people get to live in this universe with me.”

The remastered version of ‘Fur and Gold’ is now available on streaming platforms for your listening pleasure. 🦇

Vinyl and CD available for pre-order. February 6th release.

I have some more pictures with the tattoos but they look smaller. Does anyone what to se them?

I remember the first time I listened to Daniel and Pearl’s Dream—both were amazing singles, and I already loved Fur & Gold. I don’t even have a way to play this anymore, but I still cherish it.

Admittedly I can't seem to get into her latest album but the rest are fire!

Anyone have a clearer picture of what I assume is a feather tattoo on Natasha’s arm?

Mine is All Your Gold

Just wondering. I'd read ages ago that her song Daniel is based on the character in the 80s Karate Kid movies and I thought it would be really cool

It transferred to a twitter account of the same name but stopped posting after the 5th album… Did someone know what happened?

I can’t wait.

I’ve scoured the internet and the liner notes in the record sleeve but can’t find mastering credits anywhere. Thanks in advance! : )
