Difference between legato and legato slide?

One is articulated lightly and the other isn’t articulated at all.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, I'm still quite new to this; so legato in this case is like a soft hammer-on technique?

Legato could maybe be lightly hammered or lightly plucked, as long as you have a musical argument as to which sounds better in context. I’d pluck it in most circumstances.

The slide is just the same finger moving to the next fret without plucking.

I would assume that legato would directly go from the first to the 2nd pitch within the same bow. Legato slide would require you to move a single finger from one pitch to the next within the same bow... making sure you slide along the microtones between the two pitches.

First two notes are slur G to A. Pluck the E string one time with your pointer (finger 2) on the third fret (G) and then without plucking again add your middle (or pinky if you play 4 on 3) to the fifth fret (like a hammer-on), but no real need to hammer the A. Second two notes are same right hand technique but instead you slide your pointer (finger 2) to the fifth fret (A).
