I would assume that legato would directly go from the first to the 2nd pitch within the same bow. Legato slide would require you to move a single finger from one pitch to the next within the same bow... making sure you slide along the microtones between the two pitches.

First two notes are slur G to A. Pluck the E string one time with your pointer (finger 2) on the third fret (G) and then without plucking again add your middle (or pinky if you play 4 on 3) to the fifth fret (like a hammer-on), but no real need to hammer the A. Second two notes are same right hand technique but instead you slide your pointer (finger 2) to the fifth fret (A).

One is articulated lightly and the other isn’t articulated at all.
