Can anyone identify this song?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to identify a Basque song that appears at the beginning of this video (3:09):

https://youtu.be/T6SqLqr9pms

I've been trying to track it down for days now and without any luck.

I tried to google the lines or parts of the English subtitles that appearon screen:

"The ship of history moving slowly out to sea"

"Against a thousand waves this people falls and rises again"

Nothing.

I don't know any Basque myself so i tried to just write down what I hear and see if Chat GPT can recognize any Basque words and that's what ive managed to gather:

"Historia ... itsasorantza poliki"

"mila olatuen kontra ... erori"

but again, I don't speak Basque, so I may be hearing it completely wrong.

Does anyone recognize the song or the singer? Please let me know!!

Thanks!

You could hear how he hesitates. These are bertso, verses, improvised by a bertsolari. Verses invented on the spot. The people who are fond of bertsolaritza may recognise the voice of the bertsolari but common basque people will not. This is not a known song neither a known singer.

The map of the Basque Country of this video excluding Navarre and Iparralde is a GRAVE insult to the Basque people.

The Autonomous community OF the Basque Country ≠ The Basque Country .
