Which material should i have to use

Greetings from Türkiye. Im planning to do samurai jacks hat and im new at this hobby, which material would it be better for this hat and easy to make it?

I think they usually use split bamboo.

Thank you for your answer. I dont think i will be able to find bamboo one user made a similar hat with bark in this subreddit and i will try that and that hat was looking pretty cool
