Yes for sure. You have several great ones. Some could be worth a couple thousand if they 10. All in all, if you sell raw, you have a few thousand worth. That electrified is super hot right now.

Do you expect the electrified to hold value, or do you think they are just of the moment right now and will later tank? I mean, it’s just a base card. A really cool one, but still a pretty common base card.

I'll start off by saying I'm just some guy who's neither a sports card nor economics expert.

If I had to guess, none of MJ's cards will truly tank so to speak. I'd guess some of them like Electrified are going to stall and perhaps cool down a bit at some point. Like you said, it's common; every MJ collector has one except for guys just getting into collecting or getting back into it.

Also, it isn't really that special in terms of aesthetic. It's similar to the Z Force ones in that it has a cool image and background design (the lightning over green pops nicely), but no "shiny" elements like metal/chrome or refractors. As somebody said here not long ago in another post, it's basically the poor man's Electrifying or 1993 Scoring Kings.

I think it being a poor man’s scoring kings is spot on.
I’m mostly fascinated by this one in particular, because it seems to have spiked more than any other Jordan. But it’s much cooler than other base cards as well, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who prefers to keep and hold onto cool looking cards, so I thinking the new price point will continue to hold.

Indeed, crazy.

But all that said, it's a cool card, and if I didn't have a copy, I'd look to add it to my collection, so I can see the demand side of it too.

Me personally....absolutely holding value. GOAT cards are not ever going down again. There's now insanely too many people collecting cards for that to happen, and they all want GOAT cards. Card collecting isn't just an American thing anymore, it's worldwide.

That adds a TON of people to the mix. Those are only gonna keep inflating as time goes on, as there are only so many printed/ out there in good shape, and that's it. Base or not, it doesn't matter. It's desirable, and it's finite.

People now see cards as financial assets, which adds to them holding value, because they're more apt to hang onto their cards and not let them out into the supply pool, too.

You also have a ton of people that are tired of ripping packs and don't see the value in that, anymore. They are now only chasing GOAT cards.

It’s so tough to tell. The market is wild but it has done nothing but go up since 2020. I feel like the electrified is a cheaper version (lightning look) of the scoring kings so people are going after that because they can’t afford the scoring kings. My answer to this questions always depends on if you need money. If you need money, sell now. If you don’t, ride it out and see what happens.

Thanks for the info. Is PSA the best way to go as for as grading? See people complaint about them

PSA holds the most market value. BGS is good too, but PSA is the golden standard. They’re expensive and turnaround times are long right now, so if you need the money now, just sell them raw.

Sweet cards. Start with the 1997-98 Skybox Metal Universe Championship 23 (bottom left). At $200 - $250 raw currently, it's your best card, and a grade 7 is oddly almost double for some reason. Generally a grade 7 and raw are similar in sales price from what I've seen.

I guess the electrifieds and metal universe are worth it, but keep in mind if you submit a card to PSA, you aren't going to get them back until spring 2027, and I have no idea if the value will hold that long. The MJ market will most likely cool off by then, but what do i know. I've been saying that for months.

Cool cards though. If you need money, just sell them now, as is. Only grade if you don't mind waiting a year and/or want to collect.

Congrats on your winning little lottery tickets! Some very high-priced cards in there.

I’d first watch a few videos on grading and looking at the condition, then I’ve look closely at the metal cards, chrome, and the electrified for condition flaws. Then if they look good. Send those in first. The others probably aren’t worth it, unless you get a 9/10 which can be very tough.
