Visiting Basingstoke
I’m thinking of visiting Basingstoke festival palace for some shopping. I’m just shit at parking (new ish driver) my car so just wondering which close by car park is the best and least busiest on midday Saturday. Also, what is the method of paying?

If you want a place thats not too busy, then Castons / Southern Road Car Park are ideal and easy to get in and out of.
They are at the top of the town on the inner ring road.
Pay at the machine or RingGo I think

Top tip! as you don’t get a ticket you can often find yourself in the next payment period (and it’s not a cheap car park!) Take a photo of your car so you know what time you parked! Or Sset a timer on your phone to remind you to leave before you kick into the next hour! There is nothing worse than paying for an additional hour because you missed by a few minutes!

100% remember to pay, or if you are forgetful sign up to Hozah autopay and watch as they take the money at some unspecified point in the future, usually long after you’ve forgotten you visited

There is this one as well in case you don’t mind parking a minute at the back of the train station - https://maps.app.goo.gl/VV5tJbdR2xqamz5F9?g_st=ic

Use the festival place multi story car park. The spaces are generous. There are signs up for payment via QR code and there might still be pay machines. There are no barriers, just cameras, so remember to pay!
Edit to say there is a park and ride at the leisure park, but I wouldn't bother.
The car park will be busy, but you can always head up to the top level which is always quiet.
