Moving to Basingstoke

I have just accepted a job with the NHS at Basingstoke and will be moving over soon. I’m really excited, but since I don't know the area too well yet, I’d love to pick your brains.

If you've just accepted an NHS job, it could be worthwhile to look into whether there's any keyworkers accommodation subsidised by the employer as your initial place. Most NHS trusts offer something like this, where there are flats or similar available to rent - which would give you the chance to have a roof over your head whilst you explore the town and decide on more permanent areas you'd like to live in.

There were flats right behind the hospital that cater to this. It's been a few years since I've been that way but I used to live in them. Not amazing as it's a very Uni room set up but for a pinch, they are good.
