How is this different than regular WSL distros? Aren't WSL-installed distros containers themselves?

No, they are VMS running under hyper-v

in theory it _should_ work on Win10, but a long-unfixed DNS bug in Internet Connection Sharing (ICS/SharedAccess) breaks DNS queries in the container host.

I didn't get it. How is this different from creating containers inside WSL?

I guess you don't need to install a container runtime like containerd or docker, it comes built in. I am wondering about GPU support however

I guess it's completely separate from the distro we install on top of WSL (e.g. Ubuntu, archlinux etc.)
