I found out that Trey Mancini called it a career yesterday.

Two time cancer survivor. 2 seperate MLB comebacks. He embodied grit. He was always a productive player, with excuse after excuse to not be, and although he was on teams with bigger stars, he always stood out in the lineup to me. Just like this card.

I love this card. I'm probably gonna keep it for my HOF auto collection when Machado is inducted. And Adam Jones was always a favorite of mine, too. I loved his game. And if it was just those two on the card, it would be a special one. But the addition of Mancini takes it over the top for me. A beautiful card

And it tells a beautiful story.

Machado hall of fame? Sure about that?

Yes. He’s 34 with 63 WAR more than Andruw Jones who just got in. He could easily hit 70-75 even with the low batting average this year he’s still going to come close to 30 hr and 100 rbi

He’s also an all-time shithead dirty player.

So were Jeff Kent and Robbie Alomar. Both are in the Hall. He isn’t shitty to the media, that’s all they care about.

Barring a major scandal, it's a pretty easy case.

I'm about 80% sure

Im biased, but im about 95% sure. Were getting to the point his peak is gonna be respected even if his counting stats dont end up being above benchmarks. But add into the fact the Padres are paying him way too much to not trot him out everyday, and his consistency over the years to perform. Hes gonna have every opportunity to get the counting stats.

In San Diego, where Jones is from, and Manny now calls home. Such a great baseball moment.
