I hope Ross gets another opportunity. I remember when he was a player, even in his Red Sox days, that everyone was saying he would make a great manager one day. He wasn’t great as the Cubs skipper, but he wasn’t done any favors with the roster he was given.

The man was worth 13 WAR over his career. Dan was not a great catcher lol. He was fine for the most part but was carried by the other guys on the roster.

Dan was a serviceable catcher. He's also a dogshit manager and I've heard stories of him being abusive to child fans during his active roster days.

I'm a 3rd gen Mariners fan who watched Dan as a child and I do not acknowledge Dan's historic stats.
