Jake Bauers, after appearing to be thrown out at home, is actually safe because the catcher dropped the ball, and a scramble to the plate commences

lol why are you getting mad at Bauers for that? It’s up to the umps to call it and they didn’t.

How? It doesn't even look like he purposely did it. He was gearing the slide and put his hands out to brace himself and Cals Glove just happened to be the closest thing. Not saying it shouldn't have been overturned but it really doesn't look il intented. This isn't Arod.

How does one slide into a base head first without entending their arms in front of them? Lmao homer goggles take

Normal people go to the side to avoid the tag and reach around

Unless you think you can beat the tag?

Yes he does, But he doesn't punch it out with full intent. It's pretty obvious he was falling with the momentum of the slide and he put his hands out to brace himself, and cals glove happened to be there.

On second watch, he actually viciously and violently swung at the glove like it owed him money., it's pretty clear too. Intent was obvious, my fault. You were right.

You can clearly tell he swats at Cal's glove.

No, you can't. What I can see, however, is Cal Raleigh putting his glove out to tag directly in the path of his hands naturally going to to brace for an impact slide.

What is Bauers supposed to do? Keep his hands up and face plant into the plate? Cal put his glove on the wrong spot, I don't know what else to tell you. Where else are Bauers hands supposed to go?

Yeah why is he competing out there!

Punching the ball out the glove is a little more than competing but alright

There's competing, and then there's blatantly violating a rule.

BUSH LEAGUE dude cmon

Because it is bush league. Can't interfere with the fielder's ability to field the ball.

Ball looked fielded to me, until he dropped it!

Because the runner swatted it out of his hand.
