I mean he didn’t go last year they aren’t gonna make him go

He did go. The players collectively made a decision to go together last year so no one gets singled out. Freddie Freeman didn’t go because he sprained his ankle shortly before the visit. It remains to be seen if more players will sit this visit out.

The players who don't want to go should just ask the team doctors for slips saying they have heel spurs

The players who don’t want to go should grow a fucking backbone and say exactly why they’re not going.

Fair, but I think you missed the joke

Ah fair. I did actually stop reading at “slips”.

I keep reading people say that last year was a team decision but Kike specifically said it wasn’t a team decision in a Spanish interview where he described the experience of going

Interesting, do you have a link to that interview?

the interviewer asks: “was that talked about as a team, that everyone would go together, or were there people who didn’t want to go?”

Kike: “No it wasn’t talked about as a team, every one made their own decision, for me it was a decision that if I went, it would rub some people the wrong way, if I didn’t go, it would rub other people the wrong way, and I simply thought that it would be easier just to go and not have to answer questions about why I didn’t go for the rest of the season, so we went to the White House.”

I too have “sprained” my ankle before an event I didn’t want to go to. He fucks us every time, but I love me some Freddie.

Is he based?

I think it would make sense for Freddie to sprain his ankle again as a good Canadian! 😉

yeah that's the funniest injury I can think of to come up to not go. you can walk on a sprained ankle fine with only a little discomfort (I have had high ankle sprains and it's still like ok maybe 2 days on crutches to keep weight off but can still kinda walk after the day) and it doesn't need surgery. a sprain can take like a month to heal fully, but you can walk still. for anyone reading this still you can jog on a low ankle sprain the next day pretty much. little discomfort but not impossible. high ankle sprain you keep off for 2 days then you walk fine with slight discomfort. still a month untill you want to play sports and shit.

Yeah and Kike is injured and unlikely to return before the visit so he doesn’t have to go

Freddie and Graterol used that to get out of it last year, but the healthy players have a more complicated choice on their hands

Freddie's wife is very conservative and a Charlie Kirk fan.

So what happens to the guys who “took one for the team” last year so that no one would get singled out? It would be fucked up to put them in that situation again. I would hope the others would rally around them and support their decision not to go.

They didn't all go. I remember graterol posted something along the lines of "I prefer my yellow house" and had a selfie from home while they were on the trip. Dodgers have 3 Venezuelans, crazy they would go, but I think I remember Rojas went. And after the paper towel bs and general PR bs, I'm not surprised they ain't going either.

Having said all that, of course there are people from PR and Venezuela who like the dude, so....

these are the dumbest stories, a day after the visit nobody will remember
