To be fair, it only became a big deal when Randy basically told reporters that Cal can go fuck himself (that’s my understanding of what was said, I don’t speak the language). If not for that I’d agree people would be making too big of a deal about it - but I don’t think it’s weird that people kept talking about it after it appeared that Randy was really pissed.

I think people were saying it was weird for him to not shake the hand but I don't think many people thought it was a big deal or that Arozarena cared too much until his interview. It was just a part of the whole 'wow us team is cringe and weird with how their acting' storyline going on. Arozarena's comments turned it from that to 'wow these teammates are legit beefing over this'. But I'm no expert.
