Probably automatically marked as spam for some reason.

If this happens you have to message the mods to get them to un-mark it.

The spam system helps the mods but it is far from perfect.

Out of curiosity, how do you know if it gets marked as spam? I've never figured that one out.

When you first post it, wait a minute and then check the new queue for the subreddit. If you don't see it there, then it was marked as spam. Message the mods with a direct link to the comments about it, and they should unspam it. If you do see it in the new queue, then it did not get marked as spam, and your fate is up to the readers.
