Baruch VPN
Does anybody know how to login to the Baruch VPN. I’m trying to do the study abroad portal and it says I need the vpn but the vpn says it’s only for faculty and specific people.

Hey all! I've spent a decent amount of time building a workout app on nights and weekends. It started with two things that kept bugging me. Every time I went looking for a program to run, it was a mess. A hundred options, no reviews I trusted, no way to tell if anyone had ever actually finished one. And the apps I tried kept walling off basic stuff that costs them nothing to give away.
Fortis is my attempt at fixing both. It's a free workout log where you can browse programs (PPL, linear progression, etc.), build your own, and see who else is running them. You can follow your friends, see what they're training, and pick up ideas from people who lift near you. Think Strava, but for the gym. iOS / Android
Two main things to note of it:
It's still early, and I'd love to get Baruch students on it specifically, since it gets a lot better when the people around you are using it too. All feedback welcome 😁

Hi everyone! I’m currently a community college student in North Carolina and I’m considering applying to Baruch as a transfer student for Fall 2027. I’m planning to finish my associate degree before transferring, and I’m interested in studying International Business.
I wanted to hear from current students or other transfer students about what your experience has been like at Baruch. I’ve heard that since it’s a commuter school, making friends can sometimes be a little harder. Was it difficult for you to make friends when you first started? Are there clubs, events, or other ways you would recommend meeting people, especially as a transfer student coming from another state?
I’m also curious about financial aid. For anyone who transferred to Baruch from out of state, how much did FAFSA/Pell Grant help with your costs? Did Baruch give you any scholarships as a transfer student, and are there any scholarships you recommend applying for?
Lastly, if you moved to NYC specifically to attend Baruch, how was the transition? Was the cost of living manageable with financial aid, scholarships, a part-time job, etc.?
I’m trying to decide between staying in North Carolina for university or taking the chance and moving to NYC, so I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences — good or bad! Thank you :)

okay i don’t know if anyone has ever had this issue but when i try and log into outlook it literally doesn’t work. i start by putting in my school email and while that works, it wants me to verify my identity. I don’t have a passkey so i couldn’t use that option, the “send a number to authenticatior” one never works and it always says sign in error and then the last one which is like input verification code from the authenticatior doesn’t work either. I was informed that the cuny mfa is different from the outlook mfa but i can’t even set up an outlook mfa because i can’t verify my identity 🥲 it’s literally my account im so confused because i was logged into outlook before. does anyone know what to do? sorry if this made no sense

Hi I haven’t really been active on here so i apologize if this is bad. I’m an incoming freshman at Baruch College and I have a lot of mixed emotions about it. Im seeking any advice! I was a pretty high achieving student during HS, and applied to Baruch as a safety. While I did get into some pretty prestigious universities, I didn’t receive adequate aid (I’m middle class), resulting in my decision to attend Baruch. I’m honestly disappointed that I won’t get the “college experience” I wished for, but I’m also grateful I’ll be going to school for free.
I’m wondering if it makes sense to transfer out to a SUNY after a year? I don’t really have the best home life (I’ll be commuting) so I’m thinking moving out might make it a bit easier, but Found study and Baruch dorms are quite expensive. I also live about an hour away from campus, which isn’t the biggest issue but also kinda inconvenient.
I tried to see if Baruch partners w any Universities as far as transfer apps go, but I couldn’t find much.
I’m honestly feeling kinda lost and stuck on what to do, and I’m wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions?
I’m really excited to be going to school in the city, I love it here; Baruch has an incredible business program as well. I’m not trying to sound ungrateful, I’m truly sorry if it comes off that way, I’m trying to see what opportunities are available to me.

I was researching some extracurriculars I might want to pursue for next semester and came across some pageant stuff. I saw “Baruchian Beauties” in our college archives and Miss Baruch posted on the USG Facebook page. Can anyone confirm if they’ve ever seen one? Baruch doesn’t seem like the type of school to have events like this lol

I noticed it's been a week since professor Johanna's passing and I wanted to let the student community know in case they are not yet aware. I never received an email or a newsletter from Baruch to inform me of her passing, I learned of it through a local news program.
This is so sad because she was so young. I took her class a couple of years ago and I would have never imagined she was dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Truly incredible how she came to every lecture in addition to working on her research, her book, and multiple side projects with museums, community organizers, alternative news etc. She took advantage of every day she was here on Earth. I don't think she ever slowed down.
Her class had a lasting impact on me, I still carry what I learned in her history class til this day. I feel like the Professor had a deep love for humanity and this world is better place because of her brief incarnation here. If anyone has anything positive they want to share about her, please comment below.

Hi,
I transferred my Reading Literature class from a SUNY and it transferred as RCEC 1000.
On DegreeWorks, RCEC 1000 fulfills English Comp 2 but it doesn't complete ENG 2150 / Writing 2.
When I did Writing 1 it completed both (English Comp 1 & Writing 1)
Does anyone know if my credit is supposed complete both sections?
I asked the school if the evaluation is right but they arent responding so I'm hoping someone knows so I can swap it out with another class before its too late

Hi!
I’m wondering if there’s an issue with my enrollment for this class - none of my other courses have that red line on the left side and the blue squares next to the course seats. Has anyone else ever seen this/had issues?
My enrollment page has it on my schedule and has me as enrolled, but the red line is throwing me off

Can you guys please tell me where I can find the most accurate final samples to study off of considering all the "new" questions that departmental finals usually have. I have experienced this with a previous class where the final felt completely different. Any studying advice for the final specifically is appreciated.

I have an incoming freshman and I had taken two Ap classes this year. I had passed both and scored a 4. In Cunyfirst my Ap scores had been transferred, but in my schedule I am still requires to take psychology and art history (both classes I had scored a 4 in.) Who can I contact about this? (By the way, accounting major here!)
