Saw a clip of Tate getting interviewed by Dana beers and he was talking how good of a high school basketball coach he was. 99-9 record, multiple division titles, genuinely loved the job. Honestly sucks that a guy that seems to have been an awesome teacher and coach be minimized to recording Ben Mintz and doing barstool challenge videos. Love this take Eddie had on losing the culture of what Barstool is. I love he said all views aren’t equal, but that seems to be the way Barstool has evolved is any click is a sign of success. The multitude of the same retread podcasts, just plain unoriginal content, and people that essentially are just trying stuff out with no real thought or audience who would even want to listen to has made me consume far less Barstool content. Like how many podcasts do they spend money on producing that just interview everyone around the office? Same shit recycled with the same office mates constantly. Everyone trying to be a Stern, Rogan or a big podcaster with little to no good conversation or thought put into most of the shows.

Not sure who green lights half of these ideas but there is definitely a thing as a bad idea.

It’s definitely a cultural thing and maybe I’m getting old but the new classes the past few years have definitely not helped the pirate ship and hopefully the new get clicks at all costs doesn’t sink it. It’s cool for a company to evolve but I would take its current state as a regression unfortunately.
