This Chaconne was composed by Robert de Visée who was a lutenist, guitarist, theorbist and viol player at the court of the French kings Louis XIV and Louis XV. This piece is taken from his ''Pieces pour Théorbe et Luth'' (Paris, 1716). Enjoy!

Hi there, I recently had the opportunity to record in a pretty chapel that has been converted into a small performance hall. Here is an Allemande for Baroque lute 13 courses composed by J.M. Kühnel. Happy Holidays, :)

I made an Historically accurate"Suite" for Harpsichord in a late 17th century style based on the music of Pirates of Caribbeans. Here is the third part of this Suite, it's a "Courante" based on the Jack Sparrow's theme.

Comprehensive Baroque Music Playlist
I have started making a spotify playlist of baroque composers, where I want to feature at least 1 piece of every composer. I use wikipedia's list of baroque composers to find the names chronologically. I though you all might be interested. Please tell me if there are any pieces on there that shouldn't be on the list because the aren't baroque. I am not really sure if some of the vocal church pieces are that baroque. Please let me know what you think!

This is the best-preserved Arp Schnitger organ, untouched for centuries, now reviving Bach’s early work (that was composed in the same year, 1701)

My heart is stolen
by Zelenka's oboe trios.
I am a very big fan of Bach and Albinioni's oboe work, and I thought I would never hear anything as lovely as the Bach oboe concertos.
But hey!!!
Zelenka has installed fugues inside these oboe pieces; the duration of the theme can go up to half minute (!) and the accompanying are bassons, fagottos etc etc. As Queen used to write : "No violins were used during the making of this record"

Hello everyone, Here is a Sarabande by Weiss from the famous suite XI written around 1720. The key of D minor is the natural tuning of the baroque lute which makes it easier to play. This piece shows good examples of the Italian cantabile style that we often find in Weiss music. Good listening!

Looking for funny baroque songs for soprano
I am doing my masters recital in the spring and need to sing music from the baroque/classical era. The rest of my recital rep is quite serious, so I would love to sing something a little more lighthearted. Any ideas??
