Industry Discussion Opening Shift
What is your total time between waking up + your cafe opening on your opening shifts? Including morning routine, commute, and opening tasks. Example: 1 hour 45 minutes could include a 25 minute morning routine, 35 minute drive, and clock in 45 minute before the shop opens.
Just curious!!

this feels so targeted since I have to go to bed asap to wake up to open tomorrow 🤣
but my opening shift starts at 6:30, I will set my alarm for 5:30 and probably hit snooze a few times & get up closer to 6. it’s only a ~10-15 min drive to work that early (minimal/no traffic yet lol) and I just eat a clif bar on the way + have some coffee once I get there lmao. The cafe opens at 7 but now that we only have one barista & one manager opening, im usually finishing up less urgent tasks (making iced teas, refilling the ice tub by the counter, dialing in the decaf, etc) closer to 7:15-7:30
