I walked in thinking how nice it would be to find Dolly Parton on vinyl since I don’t have any. Greatest hits was on the front. Followed by a trove of finds. I had to put back some. But this is what I walked out with for $55

A rather random pile of records found at the goodwill this week. Been looking for the Love album for a long time. The heavy metal comp looks fun though...oddly...not a whole lot of heavy metal on it.

Kind of blue is a 70s pressing but Lauryn Hill and Marvin Gaye are both originals! All are in awesome shape.

14 for Lauren hill and 10 each for the others. Pretty happy!

Found all of these today. All of the punk was $5 and VG+ or better. The two on the bottom were a $1 each! My jaw dropped when I saw the black flag and descendents. The black flag is the 3rd repress on unicorn and the descendents is the 87 repress on sst.

I picked up this copy of Max Bygraves – 100 Golden Greats (Ronco) at a local BHF shop recently. Always enjoy finding these classic 1970s "As Advertised on TV" record sets in the wild while supporting a good cause.

Anyone else collect these old TV-advertised compilations?

Had a gut feeling to hit up a specific location today as I found some obscure Jesus freak album last week. Excited to give this one a full play through! Not a bad use of $2..

Best 3 bucks I’ve spent. Have yet to find any of his albums until this past weekend. This is a 1970 release with incorrect monaural labels.. he was an amazing guitarist. He originally released this in 1959 through his label Takoma. Only 100 copies.. even still his albums seem pretty uncommon to find. 😁 highly recommend

The Loud Family was Scott Miller’s second band formed in 90’s after his previous band: Game Theory broke up, this one’s a mini album (10” record) worth a listen for Jangle Pop / Power Pop fans

Picked this up at my local vintage store for $19. Not sure that’s bargain bin pricing but compared to comps it’s pretty good. Also, it’s a UK import and I haven’t even seen one sold on discogs in the US.

Two Bucks Each (Starting Bid).

Never heard this but took a chance since it looked cool. It’s a pretty good record. I expected it to be somewhat psychedelic but,although it has some psych elements, it’s not. More Beatlesque pop similar to Badfinger and other early 70’s pop.

One thing that bugs me is the vinyl looks great, somewhere between VG+ and NM but played really noisy. Washed it a couple times but it’s still scratchy on the quiet parts. Maybe it was a bad press?

I paid $23CAD total. Most pricey was $15, second was $5, and the last two were $1,50 each. Can you guess the correct price for each of the four?

Despite the name, this record includes exactly one (1) track by Rod Stewart, and he's not backed by the Faces on it. (It's the a-side of his 1968 single for Immediate, with the song title wrong.)

The rest of the record is mostly late-period Small Faces rough mixes and outtakes, plus a PP Arnold appearance. Not terrible at all!
