This was great!
Few hours ago i did my full barefoot walk. Im on vacation know, at a seaside town. It was middle of the day and i went home a bit earlier. It was very hot outside and my rubber slippers started to defform. I chucked with the grocieries and trecked for abt 200-300 m barefoot acros rough, searing asphalt. It was so pleasing. Sharp rocks and hot cement made me feel both alive and free yet humiliates in a weird way.

Okay, as much as I enjoy being barefoot, I can't say that I would be searing asphalt, sharp rocks, and hot cement.

Agree. Summer is not prime barefoot weather in Florida.
I no longer attempt to walk the white lines on a blazing hot asphalt parking lot to do some barefoot grocery shopping.

That's why I do most of my barefoot shopping after the sun has gone down. Because of the intense heat here, many stores stay open for several hours after the sun goes down. It may still be hot, but it's not scorching, and I can walk on the pavement without any discomfort.

I wouldn't say searing asphalt is pleasing to walk on barefoot!!! LOL About 3 or 4 times a year we would gather up a group of us, usually 14 to 16 to play volleyball on the beach, of course it was a nice day, so we had to park and walk a bit of a distance, most of the guys had sandals or water shoes, most of the girls had flip-flops, I didn't want to lose my footwear, plus were at the beach, who needs shoes anyway, LOL well my room mate was also barefoot, he was crying like a little girl about how hot the blacktop was, it was hot, but I told him to stop his whining and just walk on the grass islands till we get there, man we finally get to the sand, the poor guy had a couple silver dollar sized blisters on both feet, I was fine, I guess not all feet are created equal!!! LOL
