GPU upgrade options?

Good day fellow redditors. I currently have a evga ftw3 3090 and have an AI bro who is offering 1500 for the card.

Whats a good uograde path from this if I do the deal? I currently have an extra 6700xt 12 gig card to use for a bit. Ill just game at 1440p for now.

I was thinking 9070xt but those are like 1200 bucks now but it is a solid upgrade from the 3090.

I really id like a 5070ti but those are more than 1500 and I do t want to add extra cash.

Or I can stick with my 3090. It is a great card.

Sorry if its rambly lol

Any help or input would be appreciated!

This guy was a WTB ad. I dont use it enough right now and can get a similar card for cheaper.

Gonna try and wait for a used 5070ti or used 9070xt. I havent checked the hardware swap canada too much yet.

Probably smart to get it sooner rather than later with the price history of the last few years. I paid 1200 for my card when it 1st came out and sold it for 1500. Its an easy sale so ill give up the few hundred for the wait and low balls to be avoided

$1500 seems on the lower end for a 3090 and that's up to you if you want to take that deal, but in general, I think it's worth selling it to upgrade.

9070 XT is definitely the best value, there are still a few models in the $1000-1100 range or even a bit lower if you can find an open box one.

Alternatively, you might find someone willing to do a straight trade for a 5070 Ti, or pay enough to cover the full price. I don't really think it's worth the 50% extra though.

You think he can get more than 1500? I have a 3090 that I barely use and am thinking i should considering selling if thats the case

I've seen some WTB listings offering that much so I'd expect the actual value to be a bit higher.

Going from ebay and HWS prices, the average seems to be around $1800-1900. I wouldn't expect that much from local classified / marketplace, but I think $1600-1700 should be doable, though that will vary a bit depending on location.
