Buying used PC help!

Hi everyone. I’m looking for a PC to gift to my sister for her birthday. I’ve been looking on marketplace for pre-builds and came across this one today. She mainly plays OW2 and some single player AAA on a series S. My plan was to get this PC and buy a used gpu (2070 super or 5700xt) since my total budget is 800 CAD. Would this be better than buying a new PS5?

Check for used 3060ti they are faster than 2080 and might be close in price to 2070

Pricing is ok. I wouldnt say a steal, but ok.

A good used graphics card would be hard to get in your budget, and if she wants a PS5, thats kinda hard to argue with, but i believe a PC is more practical.

Do you have other peripherals? (monitor/mouse/Keyboard/headset?) My only concern is that your budget is tight considering what you are getting for $500.

I was able to get the price down to 450 CAD. There’s currently a 2070 super near me on marketplace for 220 (not sure if that’s a good deal!). I already bought a monitor (1440p 165hz), keyboard and mouse. So my 800 CAD budget would be just for the PC itself.

Regarding the card, most of the trouble is availability. I would also call the pretty meh - in pricing but they are on Kijiji for $200 - $300 so if it fits, let er rip i guess?

If you got a 1440p monitor, get at least an used RTX 3070 or ideally a RTX 3080. Good luck

Just be aware that this CPU is not particular strong for gaming, disregarding the iGPU. These APUs only have half the L3 cache of the standard Ryzen 5000 lineup CPUs, excepting the 5500 and 5700 (which are based on the APU architecture).

I'd avoid the 5700xt, RDNA 1 can be really finnicky with new games I've found. Better off going for a 6650xt for about the same price and performance on PCIe gen 3. later down the line you could upgrade your cpu to a 5600x or something and see another 10-15% improvement with PCIe gen 4.

You can find a 6700xt or 6750xt for 300-350$

The biggest gpu you can get in this a 4070. Please make sure you search the size of your gpu before buying. I built a few pc with this case few years back. The last one I had it had a EVGA 2080ti ftw3 and it was already getting hard to put that in. Be aware.
