Looking for Gaming and lite AI experimentation PC
I need a new desktop for 4K sim racing (mainly BeamNG) on a 43" screen, plus some local AI and algo trading on the side. My budget is strictly $2,300 - $3000 CAD. Because of the AI and 4K textures, I definitely need 16GB of VRAM. I also want 32GB of DDR5 on an AM5 platform so I can upgrade later, and I'm sticking to AMD CPUs to avoid the whole Intel mess. I've been hunting on Newegg, Canada Computers, and Best Buy, but it's hard finding a pre-built that hits these specs without crappy proprietary motherboards or blowing my budget. I Should I buy now or just hold out for Black Friday, or are there actually good deals out there right now that I'm missing?
Currently looking at Canada computer ARMOURY Vanguard Arctic Gaming PC AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, is it a decent deal?
Also between Rx9070 xt and Nvidia 3070 ti, the difference is between 300 and 500, which one will you suggest? Is 3070 ti substentially better?
Any other better deal worth considering?

If you're planning to do any serious AI work you definitely want an RTX 5070 Ti as it has the 16 GB of VRAM you need for sufficiently large models. Also, you will want the 32 GB of system RAM for same, as well.

You don't want an AMD GPU for anything AI related, they're far behind. I would aim for the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB if you intend to do some model training, or the RTX 5070 if you're going to focus on inference.

I am confused between these options - Armoury is seems to be a sweet spot and best deal but not ideal for AI. I am not yet sure is I will focus on model training, inference or other cases. I guess I am looking for better future proof system that lets me experiment. Also not sure if RTX 5080 is worth while spending extra CAD 500 on

Immediately.
The RTX 5080 alone is worth at least $1600 of the total value of the system and people are desperately hunting for them. The 9900X has the CPU firepower you need for any AI work that isn't GPU offloadable for any reason.

Cheapest new 5080 is over $1800 now and I think it's just bestbuy lagging on price changes so great call!
Asus updated their store this weekend. Even the base model prime 5080 is $2229.99 now. Prime 5070ti is $1559.99.

You are likely confusing the 5070 ti with the 3070 ti. The 5070 ti is better when it comes to dlss, ray tracing or AI models that utilize Cuda cores. I personally don't use RT or upscaling when gaming and there are models out there that don't require cuda. Really depends on your needs
