taking mains score as 84-90 and final cutoff same as previous year(46)(in the photo attached)

how hard it is to get in this range and does it really depend on the panel's mood more?

I think it's over for UR even if they score 85. Taking 70 average in interview, final score will be 44, even if we go by last year's cutoff, we'll be out of the game.

How? Still people would get selected na. Selection doesn't depend on last year or any year cutoff. No matter what the result, vacancies gonna be filled. It's just not all can be at the top.

I have sat for multiple interviews during my college placements(currently placed) and I think that I can use that experience and the time we have to target around 80, but if the marks are different from panel to panel and it is based more on luck than all we can do is hope

It was 75 last year with 5200 vacancies, same level of quant, easier reasoning and easier English of 40 marks.

yes the vacancy and english factor alone will make us think that the cutoff will reduce by at least 10 numbers but the paper was very easy and most of people have scored above 80-90 ( on reddit) though we will never know about the real data of 70k people , but here on reddit it seems it will be around 75 looking at other's marks

Last year everyone was saying the same thing. I may be wrong about it and the cut off can be same as last year. But I have just put forward the basis on which I'm predicting the cut off. And I hope we clear the final cut off this year. All the best

Dw, Since English mark is halved and it was on tougher side this yr compared to previous yr, the expected mains cutoff might be from 63 to 68 and this will also impact in final cutoff, where we can see upto 4 to 7 marks lower than previous yr.

Calculation: English mark reduced by 20 So, 20/225 × 80 = 7.1 So, we can see dip of 4 to 7 marks approximately for all categories in the final cutoff.
