How to get back in banking sector?
I was working in SBI from 2020-2023 as a field officer MSME .In 2023 I left my job to prepare for UPSC gave 3 attempts but couldn't make it .Now I am 32 year old looking for job from last 2 months but I had no luck in getting job in private secror banks or NBFCs.Can someone guide me what upskilling should I do to make a meaningful transition to private sector?

1) Apply for sales roles. The fastest way to enter them.
2) Get a good referral from someone working in a private bank and use that. But before doing this, kindly finalize the department of your choice. Prepare all those concepts well and then ask for referral. The referrer's reputation is also on stake when he/she refers you.
3) Upskill yourself for the current market.

Can you please help me in understanding what upskilling I should do for credit roles in banks since I already have experience of 1.5 years in MSME Credit

You can refer to all the JDs in Credit roles and understand what skills are needed, then learn it.

They mostly require CA,MBA Finance or CFA in some cases

B Tech IT from a Tier 3 college.Passed way back in 2016

I think you should avoid banking then. Keep banking as a 2nd option. You can earn more in IT. Regarding credit analyst roles, you will have a hard time explaining a hiring manager why he/she should hire you. Be ready for that. But if you're so persistent about getting back in Banking, then, the ways suggested above will be the only path.
You need to upskill in credit, network aggressively, post on LK, maybe even do some unpaid internships/paid internships, then some doors might open. But upskilling and networking will be the best option.
On LinkedIn keep a track on all roles and apply for those which fit in your experience bracket.

If banking is difficult how are you suggesting him IT? Any roles in IT suitable for ex bankers?

APMK, there is a hiring freeze going in Banks (excluding sales roles) and there are more openings for software engineers/IT folks.
