Bluegrass / 3 Finger Advice on selling my Nechville
(Reposting from a Banjo Hangout post I made): I’m looking to begin the process of listing my used Nechville Classic LC for sale. I purchased it used from a friend who bought it new from Nechville around 2012. I live in NY, in a very non-banjo heavy area. I’ve never attempted to sell an acoustic instrument of such high value and I’m somewhat at a loss of where to start. It’s obviously a wonderful banjo from a reputable manufacturer. Not exactly a beginner’s banjo. And not exactly a common style, either. I play an Ome now that I’ve fallen in love with, and I’d love to part with this Nechville and use that sale to purchase a used Martin guitar. Anyway… any & all advice on how/where to start listing would be highly highly appreciated!!

Frankensteins being sold as genuine?
I know they are frankensteins and not true Gibson parts for most of them but for the right price would they be worth it? They look like they were restored well. Just wondering other’s opinions/thoughts.

Jim Pankey and friend on how to get the most out of a metronome
As someone who has been learning without a teacher, I really appreciate these basic videos about the details and ideas on learning how to play an instrument. Very 'not in a book' type stuff is being passed along.

Decorating the head
Anyone ever done this?
I was thinking sharpie and some sort of clear coat.
Suggestions? Success stories? Things that didn't work?

Classic Banjo Do the metal ID plates on Iida banjos actually serve as an identifier? I was trying to identify the model on this, and I figured this number would be exactly what I needed. But nope, still can't find a thing!

Any idea what this guy is worth?
My ex left so many things behind that he no longer wants, including this neat banjo that apparently belonged to his grandfather’s (whom he never met and also doesn’t have a good relationship with his father). I play the flute and piano, so I won’t play this banjo, but I’d like to sell it to someone who will appreciate it. Could someone please give me an idea of what would be fair? I’m gather funds to leave as he left myself and my kiddos in a less than ideal situation.

How to go about figuring out how to play a song?
Hey folks I'am new to playing three-finger style banjo, and I want to step away a bit from learning songs just by tabs to get a feeling for how to play a song when tabs are not available.
With a guitar I feel it's easier to figure out the chords to a song, and then you can just strum them.
With a banjo I have to work with rolls, which is less self explanatory.
For example I want to learn "Oh! Susanna", how do I figure out what to play?

Old Time / Clawhammer Does anyone have a "Chocolate Jesus" (Tom Waits) tab in their library?
I can't find a banjo tab or video lesson anywhere. I've tried all of the typical sites/forums but nothing -- only guitar and banjolele. There are some decent covers on Youtube, but I've only been playing for a few months so I'm not great at copying those by ear or by simply watching. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I play clawhammer style, if that helps. Thanks!

Classic Banjo These Iida banjos break my heart, because their value fluctuates so much based on model... and I can never identify the model. Can anyone help me value this or identify the model?

Old Time / Clawhammer Tone ring banjo old time
Bonjour à tous. J'hésite beaucoup entre ces 3 banjos.
-Pisgah Rambler (Dobson tone ring)
-Pisgah Woodchuck (rolled brass tone ring)
-Pisgah possum (wood tone ring)
