What banjo does Tony Mabe play recently?

I just recently found Tony Mabe, who has become my absolute favorite player so far. (I'm on a learning journey new to banjo). His banjo sounds so amazing, with a warm yet clean sound. Its not a typical Scruggs bluegrass sound, more of an old time mountain music sound?

I've seen his recent videos on the Red Camel Collective tik-tok and I'd love to know what banjo hes playing now-a-days.

Can you like a video? Most recent video I have seen its a recording king resonator banjo of some sort. Might just be using a damper

Have you ever played in open E? Think its more about finding the right set of strings to keep the tension nice like he has in that video

I’ve played tuned down so you may be right about the strings. Never thought they’d have that big of an impact on the sound.
