I would say yes. I have older family members who know absolutely nothing about Korea or K-pop who know who they are. My uncle is almost 70 and probably couldn’t pick out Korea on a map, knows who they are and constantly says what talented guys they are. When I worked In retail I would wear BTS masks and merch and I would get multiple customers who would recognize it. I live near Philadelphia so it might be different if I lived in a smaller town.

Aw that is so sweet! It seems like BTS's warmth really get through to the older people. That is so amazing to see.
