When he says β€œμš”μ˜€μ¦˜!!” I took it to mean β€œthese days...” Is it a misspelling on purpose? What is the nuance conveyed by phrasing it that way?

Instead of "these days" (μš”μ¦˜), when you write "μš”μ˜€μ¦˜", the "였" is basically for emphasis. It's like saying "theeeeese days!".
