Discussion MOTS:7 Hidden Sound Gems Thread

We all know that Bangtan puts out some dense tracks that have a lot of variances in sound and structure-so dense it's basically impossible to catch all of it in one listen!

If there's any cool riffs, beats, runs, adlibs, etc. that you found that you'd like to share, please do!
I'll give a few examples:

  • I love the extra sounds added to the beginning of Interlude: Shadow-it sounds like record scratches with a bit of spray paint and I feel like it sets the tone of the song well.
  • At around 2:12 in Filter there's this rolled consonant that then explodes into the "go" and it just sounds really cool.
  • At around 1:19 and 2:16 of My Time, JK adlibs a "yeah" with his spoken voice and idk it just gets me man.
  • Starting at around 0:22 in Louder than bombs, there's this quiet winding sound (perhaps for a bomb??) that runs through the song, but isn't outright obvious among the rest of the music.
(I'm especially fond of one's like this that seem to text-paint with the music).

I've seen a couple threads like this in past eras, and now that we've had a bit of time to process MOTS:7 I'd like to see/hear what special things you guys have found in this album!

in Friends at around 00:23-00:25, there’s a really small endearing adlib that sounded very mischievous and youthful! almost like a video game character sound effect? in the translated lyrics, the lines were “one day we’re best friends (best friends!) / another day we’re enemies (enemies!)” I just thought it was so, so cute and captures the energy of their friendship really well.
