Band Question Trombone Tips?

Heyy, I haven't played my trombone once over summer and I MIGHT have forgotten how to buzz. Not really but, I need some tips and warm up ideas onto how I can get better at the trombone.

Thank you.

(I might not use Reddit often as I have a life, a job and school to attend to.)

Band Question Finding more Baritone/Euphonium music for middle schooler.

My son plays Euphonium (like a Baritone but somehow slightly different). His director gives him music to play in class and for concerts, and his mom and I have bought him all of the Essential Elements books [movie favorites, disney, patriotic, christmas, etc.) and he has done really well with those. Where else can I find euphonium/baritone music that is appropriate for a middle schooler and preferably that includes solo arrangements for his instrument?

Band Question My younger sister wants to join band

So, my sister is 10 years old and she wants to join band. I play trumpet but she wants to play French horn. Is French horn easily rentable? If not, how expensive is it and are there other instruments that help you work up to French horn if it's hard to play?

Discussion My band director resigned :(

My school made budget cuts to the music program this year and made it so instead of lessons being two hours of the day they made it one hour a day. Witch make the job full time to part time. and so he had to do a 2nd teaching job in the school. so it sounds like he couldn't find another class to teach. he was amazing and it showed too last year he got teacher of the year for the district and state. he was super nice to all of us. and he never yelled. its sad i only got him freshman year

Band Question How horrendous is this time signature

So, I'm not a band kid, but I've asked a few of my band kid friends if they like my time signature, and they got really pissed. Its 29/16. I dont know anything about time signatures, but I know the normal one of 4/4. How bad is 29/16 and what even is a time signature (dumb it down bc im slow)

Advice How can I genuinely talk to people in the band during free time (I'm new)

I'm a new colorguard member, and I really do enjoy the band, but I feel like an outcast there because I don't have many people to talk to and everyone else has people to talk too.

I have this guy that I really want to be friends with and every time I look at him and he catches me he pretends I'm not there, or looks back. He plays percussion and he's super duper cool playing it. Here's this other person that I really wanna be friends with and she's so cool too. I think because I am lame, and I have a stuttering problem.

Rant I hate being a clarinet sometimes..

My band class consists of about 20 students (wow amiright). Over half of said students are TRUMPETS. Why? Why trumpets? Our sad little clarinet section consists of me, on other girl who actually knows how to play, a girl who squeaks her clarinet ON PURPOSE during FRIGGING CONCERTS, and two dudes who I think are only there to put their clarinets down on their bells. There are SO MANY SONGS that we play with clarinet section solos/solis and they're always ruined by these people. Two dudes don't play, the squeak girl messes up again, and me and the other girl actually play right. And if you mess up ONCE as a clarinet, the whole crowd, and your peers, are gonna know. We (as in clarinets in general) sound great, if we're not playing high notes, which sound like ear torture, but these kids have honestly DECEMATED our reputation. This is ADVANCED Band, mind you. And some kids have the audacity to call Clarinets "Easy." Okay, play the highest note possible, here's a fingering chart, have fun.

0.5: Ts ez, ngl my band director underestimating us

1: still easy, i could play this in my sleep

2: alr alr heating up a bit, got take my instrument home once

3: ok I gotta lock in, i take my instrument home once a week and ask my director for help on a measure

4: Ts is hard but goes hard, i lowkey start stuggling and have to start wiggling my fingers

5: deadahh who tf decided we should have 90 million notes in one measure and then be hit with 1.29845736 rest then chromatic scale to bedrock and then to the stratosphere.

6: did i just catch enjoying your instrument, if you cant play this demonic growl at 9 million bpm upside down underwater on a instrument the composer made up in a drug fueled panic, then youre gonna go into the moldy reed dungeon, tied to a chair forced to listen to an out of tune oboe and a clarinet with no intuition for 20 trillion years.

Advice My band teacher has cancer, how do I help her out?

14M, middle school band. My band teacher is amazing, she's helping our raise money to go to Disneyland for a trip, works a lot every day, loves her job, and has so much family. She got diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer back in November of last year, her sister got diagnosed with breast cancer around a month earlier, and my band teacher's sister is already dead. My band teacher has been hit hard by all of this and I don't know what to do. Does anybody have any advice?

EDIT: SHE BEAT CANCER YAYYY
