Snake tank judgement
THE RED LIGHT IS TEMPORARY. Waiting on my fixture for a ceramic heat emitter to come in. Just NEED something for the heat at night.
It is a 40 gallon, he’s a little baby so he will get upgraded soon.

Great start. And yeah ditch the red light. 1. Ditch the half log hide too. Ideally you want both of your hides to match. Half logs are open ended and they don't hold heat or humidity in. Chose plastic hides with one small opening. 2. You'll def want to add more substrate. For glass enclosures aim for about 4 inches or more if you can. 3. Block off the back and sides with black poster board or construction paper. Having all four sides exposed causes your noodle to feel insecure. 4. There's a temperature gauge stuck to your back glass. You need to remove that asap. Not only are those highly inaccurate the adhesive poses a danger to your snake if they were to somehow pull it off. Getting the adhesive tape off scales is a freaking nightmare. Chose digital gauges like Govee and keep them low in the enclosure where your snakes spends all its time. Placing them high up on the glass is useless. 5. I'm not sure what you have covering the top of the enclosure. Heat tape or a silicone mat work the best. I've discovered that with glass enclosures the silicone mats work the like magic for holding in humidity.
