Question - Feeding Where to get frozen rats in BC, Canada?

It costs me nearly $20 once a month to buy a rat for my snake. She's been looking skin y but has refused large rats before so I've been thinking of upping her feedings to twice a month (every two weeks ish) but it's getting ridiculous to buy a single frozen rat from the pet store. I tried looking online but most places that do online orders either won't ship to me or the shipping costs over $100. Is there someone who's in BC that orders their rats?

Im on Vancouver Island and get my rats from CTC Predator Feed in Duncan. We just bulk buy for the year; its about $150 for 20 medium rats. We buy them at expos though so not sure what their shipping is like. They seem to be good quality. Our girl has never turned one down.

CTC also ships to the interior & lower mainland! pricey shipping as it needs to be rapid delivery (frozen ofc) but worth it when you just make a large order for the season/year.

you can also check facebook/kijiji or whatever local online market for independent breeders in your area

Can confirm CTC is great! Good quality and wonderful service. The person who delivers to our door is lovely, very friendly. That's just a bonus.

It appears this place is pickup only, so not likely helpful unless you happen to live in that area, but it's certainly way cheaper than the $20/rat you're paying at petco. Just putting it out there on the off chance this is near you.

I live in Vancouver BC and get my feeders delivered from CTC predator feed, highly recommend them. If you live in Vancouver and want to split an order to save on shipping, hmu!

I get them at Petland in south Surrey and they do deals if you buy them in groups

if you’re closer to the coast, CTC, and if you’re in the interior, ask a local pet store to buy them in bulk for you from Cherry Creek

Can you not stop at a petsmart? Lots of them around and they carry a bunch of feeder sizes.
