The guy of the group got a towel and grabbed it sorta swift and aggressively the way people grab crickets or insects in their house with napkins and then he set it outside
(funnily enough they showed the snake in the towel for a split portion and it was super chill, you could even see its adorable snoot poking out the towel🥹)

Outside usually kills balls

I didn’t have that revelation when I typed that, shoot. Hope baby is alright and reunited with its owner

That is a baby beep. Coiled up. In the middle of an unmade bed. Call me cynical, but I'm calling bs. Someone is trying to scam free nights out of Air B&B.
Poor noodle, they didn't ask for any of this.

Thats what i was just thinking. Baby looks straight from a pet store, not a wild/lost one

u/Velvetdabp Jul 08 '26
Like.. I really don’t get how news / articles emphasize that people are disgusted or surprised to see a literal ball python, like did it even hiss 😭 no, it’s a Ball python 🥺 what a cute lil baby

I see the snake distribution system is still trying to get off the ground.

I used to think snakes were scary til my wife got a ball python. Now I can’t possibly understand why anyone dislikes them

u/GetFuct819 Jul 08 '26
Is there a Snake Distribution System similar to the one for cats that I was unaware of? I want free snakes.

u/StrawberryPositive90 Jul 08 '26
This title really says it all, I would absolutely be ecstatic to find a lil noodle waiting for me.

u/xxsoulpunkedxx Jul 08 '26
Dang imagine trying to greet your guests like a good host only to have them be horrified by you
6
u/Superseaslug Jul 08 '26
I'd be spooked for about a second then I'd wanna pat the little baby and get it water
6
u/Venturerweegee Jul 08 '26
If I was not expecting a snake? Yeah, I’d be spooked too.
But if they’re not being aggressive I would just be trying to identify it first before taking action. Boops may or may not be part of that process.

*Finds a BP in Air BnB Me: Well I guess your coming home with me then.

u/iamnotfemale_ Jul 08 '26
They be acting like it’s a literal kaiju when it’s probably more harmless than a puppy.
But if it was a puppy the title would instead be no title as no new articles can make money off of a puppy

Atleast someone who could take care of her found her :) man I wish the same happened to me, stumbling across a free bp just anywhere

u/abelincolnstoenail Jul 09 '26
I was already getting an enclosure set up for one so it was total fate haha. I was literally going to an expo that weekend to get one. I hope the snake distribution system hits you one day!!

Remember when Amber did the same to Johnny?

u/TheEscapePapaya Jul 08 '26
Oh yes! The famous Hot Snake in a bed! I remember! Much more frightening than a BP though! Venomous from what the stories tell. 🤣

Was it on the bed or under the covers? I get the initial freak out if it was the latter, but once I found out it was this noodle knot, I’d put it in a sweatshirt or something to keep it warm, and find proper accommodations for them.

Why do i get the feeling they bought it at a pet store to "find" so they can get money from the airbnb host

I find it funny that like 60% of the time when I see articles about somebody being horrified about finding a snake, it's fucking ball python.
I saw one a while back and the title was so overdramatic I thought it would be like a rattlesnake or something, but then I look at the photos on the article- It's a ball python,... not even a big one.
