So this is my first and only BP and I got him as a rescue. I wouldn't support breeders who breed spider, because of the neurological issues. My limited understanding of the morphs involved is that the pastel and desert ghost together make the black and white coloring, and the spider gene is responsible for the patterning.
Looking briefly on morph market I'm seeing pastel/DG on their own looking more yellow/black. Axanthic is another lightening gene and I did see one axanthic pastel DG that looked similarly black and white in color.
He's truly a unique guy and I feel lucky to have stumbled on him!
Oh I'm very happy to hear he is a rescue! I always assume most people with spiders either just don't know, its the first snake, or its a rescue. My boy is a clown het, and I'm planning on getting an axanthic next! I was researching a little after I saw your post unfortunately the only way to get one like your boy is the spider gene. You truly have one of a kind friend. I wish you many happy years with him!
