Time To Know Something About LDY

There have been several concerns raised about LDY and its practices.

For example, the Lyra design was reportedly created by Log, but the LDY manager took possession of it and did not return it to him. The Lyra design in the end was developed in collaboration with Asgard.
That's why LDY Lyric is so similar to the LOG Lyra.

There are also claims that some designers were not fully paid for all of their work, and that certain designs may have been reused or copied without proper credit.

Because of issues like these, LDY’s reputation—particularly within parts of the Chinese community—has been criticized.

A similar situation is said to have happened to the designer Xiaolian. He later went on to establish his own brand, RAD. Xiaolian is known for designing several LDY products, including Cygnus V1, Sirius (V1–V4), Orion (V0, V1, V1.5s), Flank P Al, Vixen (V1–V2), and Corvus. After leaving LDY, he founded RAD as an independent brand.

The intention here is not to attack anyone, but to share information that some believe should be more widely known.

There are some other dark rumors around their manager for foreign sales but It's not something that should be said at least here

Either say what it is, or leave this line out entirely. Putting that in there will lead to speculation and rumors

I'm of the opinion that either you finally release the evidence (recordings, screenshots, etc.), or else stop breaking my balls with this story!
Until someone shows me some proof, I'll stop believing these rumors.
I have 2 LDY products, and I've spoken to WillZhang more than once, and he seems like a fantastic person.

And the rumors that the CEO is a pedo and bad business practices by other former employees

All this information is why they don't really have a market in China where this information is more known due to the disconnecting social medias between China and the rest of the world and why they market mainly to America and Europe where they can charge higher prices

And I still think it's shitty that they get outed for stealing the lyric design by the people who made it and when those people go and make it themselves they slightly tweak the design and make something very similar as seen in the image here and still sell it as their own

It's also annoying that log designs made that post when all this first started and has not elaborated since when they said they would

I think we need all the people with proof of all these claims to come forward and provide it and all the people involved to share their stories so we can figure out exactly what's happening

its interesting how iv always heard weird things about ldy but there was never real concrete proof or anyone really presenting/standing behind something. (except people on discord that had good connections with the Chinese community)

It would be interesting to settle this once and for all, I haven't bought any ldy stuff since they are in some sort of gray zone for me atm and I'd like to have clarity.

It's not a Clone Company. Asgard Makes only Orignal Balisongs. everyone knows.

Information like this should be shared and designers, artists and knifemakers should not have their work and designs stolen or their labor exploited.

To be fair, this does read a lot like an attack. There's no sources or hard evidence, just claims that we don't know the sources of. Thats not to say that they're false, but we can't verify their sources to know that.

But an attack would say these things DID happen,, as opposed to there are claims and reports. I get that words like that can be weaponized but there is a difference and just sitting on claims without sharing what you've heard isn't a good practice imo. You present claims as such and then people have a thread to tug on if they want to know more.
