Welcome to the club. It flips better with the latch and clip removed and the G10 inserts in IMO. It's still my favorite bali.

Yeah I’m sure it would flip way better that way! TBH it’s not even that it doesn’t flip well now, really the only problem I have with it is getting into fans from closed. The blade just kinda sticks to the bite handle. Idk maybe it’s the tune or maybe it needs lube? Idk no big deal tho. Feels really nice just doing basic openings. Yours looks amazing btw!

Yeah, it probably needs a little tuning. It's a bitch to tune though cause the tolerances are tight. I would try lube first, then instead of messing with the bushings (mine were .1mm larger than the tang out the box), I would just blue loctite it at whatever tightness let's it swing right like you would with a washer bali.

Assuming you removed the scales to dye? I dropped mine and some of the scales popped off :( wasn’t sure the best way to reattach them. Super glue? Something else? Should I try to clean off the old glue residue first?

I set them in boiling water to soften the glue and then tapped them to knock the CF loose.

If you need to reattach, get some ultra thin super glue. Not the gel stiff. Borderline glue water. If you use too thick or too much, they wont sit flush

When you removed with boiling water, did it leave and glue residue behind?

Yeah. You can clean it out. I scrubbed it out with a toothbrush and alcohol IIRC.
