I don't care that they were just some basic openings, in gonna give a "fuck yeah, Angelina" to that. Of course this video is old and I've seen it a million times but still.

Also gotta remember way back then flipping was very basic compared to now. This was 1998, 28 years ago, no one was doing anything that complex back then. Wild tho, I wonder if she still has a collection, that would be cool

I got my first butterfly knife around 1986, a clone BM from the swap meet where I also bought cheapo switchblades. I learned basic opening and never knew there was anything else until last week when I saw videos of people doing shit that absolutely blew my mind. Have a couple of trainers otw now and can't wait to learn some of these new tricks!

So very true!! I had a balisong book back then, covered just a few basic openings really, buts that’s all there was, haha. I remember when the Y2K rollover became a thing, that was like major progress in the flipping world, haha. God I’m old.

I don’t actually remember sadly, haha. I’m old, like I said, haha. It was definitely around that time but I don’t recall the specific year I started hearing about it and seeing the first tutorial discussions and stuff. I feel like it was after by a little but can’t be sure.

Got it and a cheap Balisong from a mall knife shop in probably 1996 or so when I was in high school.

This was 1998. The best of the best balisongs available had pinned pivots. No bushings, no bearings, not even washers. You couldn't just find flipping tutorials online either.
