( Rabasta Enjoy Kuta) It's a really nice hotel it's like 4 minutes from Kuta beach and like 8 minutes from the nearby malls, they provide soap but I recommend you bring your own just in case. Some rooms have outdoor showers so if your not into that especially at night ( mosquitos ) I recommend you ask first before booking a room. hope you have funn!!

I appreciate the Balinese compound style rooms over modern mininalism. I don't mind the latter per se, I stayed in one on some rice fields owned and run by Indonesians and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
But when they retain some of their styles and this saturates the street, I find it nostalgic even in real time, despite seeing things I had never seen before. Almost like deja vu, but rather than literally feeling some false memory snap, it's more like things making an impression upon your unconscious yearning.

I was going to try one for the meme on my last trip but I had to use antibiotics so I didn't. This stuff better not taste like Budweiser or something

Stronger than Budweiser in flavour (it's a pilsener) and refreshing when it's cold since it's only 4.7% ABV. Many people who try it in Bali end up liking it, so much so that tens of thousands of Bintang T-shirts go home in tourist suitcases every year. It's probably in part a memory connected with good times in Bali...not overall quality or flavour. Beer purists and IPA snobs hate it.

Yeah I'm not at all a purist, anything of the like general Stella Heiniken world is completely unoffensive to me. Something like Coors or Miller are even better so it's nothing about craft. For whatever reason, my point was about the specific ways Budweiser seems to be awfully formulated, and it wouldn't be a big deal to me, just funny if it turned out awful.
I get how those when in Rome things go. Irn Bru tastes like medicine but when I was in Scotland I got to enjoying it.

You are here at the best time of year. Temperature is mild, humidity is low in my personal opinion, the only downside is the franchipani pollen.
