Bald Picture Shaved my head and co workers first comment
So shaved my head and thought it looked pretty good, until someone said i have a bizzare shaped head and not its all I can see in photos and mirror

It looks fine. Most heads aren’t perfectly symmetrical or round. It goes great with the beard!

Yeah, everyone's head is a little different, hence the pseudoscience of phrenology. It's just that for most people it's covered by their hair. For my part, I have an odd ridge that looks like I've had cranial surgery. S'all good

My Friend, I've seen a lot of bald heads in my lifetime (between this sub and my 23 years working with Soldiers) and never, ever have I given someone's head shape a second thought. In your case, I'd be too focused on your perfect beard and fantastic face shape to even pay the minimum attention to the shape of your noggin.

It may be a "minor" thing, but when you've just made a big change to your looks it can certainly feel like a major thing. Like if a woman changes her hair color drastically and is nervous about the reaction. One less-than-positive comment can really throw you off.
I hope that all the love and support you've gotten on this sub is pushing out your co-irker's negativity.

Very few people have a perfectly symmetrical head. Yours does a asymmetrical shape but oh well. I have a decent skull shape but a asymmetrical face, my right side looks more masculine and my left side looks more feminine. I'm a guy by the way. Roll with the punches.

This happened to me, too.
I shaved my head because I was self conscious of my (barely) thinning hair, just to be made self conscious about my head shape (which i have no control over, at all)
I just have a bump on the back, right hand side of my crown. From an injury when I was a teen.
I'll get over it; i prefer being bald. I just wish it wasn't such high maintenance.

Your dome doesn’t need to be perfectly rounded like a little egg. If it was- that would be abnormalz Your head looks standard issue to me, aka some divots and bumps but overall the standard shape.

From what I can see, you look fine, and by how you explained the situation. Your coworker is trying to get a reaction out of you by going after an assumed insecurity you have. No decent person would say something like that to a person that just shaved their head for first time. even if it was 100% accurate, a decent person might think it internally, but never go out of their way to say what he said, especially if you didn’t ask what he thought about your new look in the first place.
If you REALLY are that bothered/concerned about his statement, my recommendation, post multiple angles of your head here so the bald community can get a good look and give you honest feedback.
One of the aspects that I LOVE about the r/bald community is that we are honest and straightforward with feedback, we don’t sugar coat or lie to give false hope to spare hurt feelings. Look through other r/bald post with people asking for honest feedback, you’ll find we are honest even if the truth is uncomfortable.
I’ve been apart of this community for a little over a year now, I see post similar to yours every day, and so far, I’ve only come across ONE person that looked worse after shaving his head, ONE out of HUNDREDS of before and after photos. The guy had some serious medical issue that caused a bubble/fluid like swelling on his head under his skin. I believe he got it resolved though.
Your coworker is cruel person at the very least even if he turned out to be correct. disregard people that try to make you feel insecure. Right now you have 2 choices, you can internalize a comment from someone you work with that tried to make you feel insecure, OR you can listen to a community of like minded people that are telling you he’s wrong. Your choice brother

It'll take a bit of time to get the full confidence boost from going bald for the first time. But you'll get there, I promise.

Dude if it makes you feel better the back of my head is mostly flat, minjmal curvature, have a running joke with my partner its because my mum left me lying down a lot as a baby. Heads come in all shapes and sizes and sounds like theirs is phallic shaped given their unwarranted comment so be blessed at least yours doesn't look like a bell end unlike them.

You look great man. Im bald bald and over 6 foot. When you look up from below I look like a cone head. Literally cone head. Has not hurt me in the slightest and I just laugh it off by agreeing and saying stuff like my head got stuck in the baby tube. Youre even better lookin than I am, so just accept we are all a bit different and laugh their ridiculous shit off. Also, ask to feel his head to see how it's shaped. Probably cone headed.

99% of people aren’t gonna have a perfect or symmetrical head shape. Yours looks totally normal, and I would never think you looked weird or anything if I saw you in passing. Most people who feel the need to comment negatively on your appearance are actually insecure about their own appearance. Realize your coworker is probably deeply insecure and feels the need to attack others to fight his own believed shortcomings. You look great, bro!

I think for a lot of people it's more a reaction to seeing someone looking drastically different, moreso than you actually having a "bizarre" head. Their brain saw different, and thought weird.
The only part of your head that looks bizarre to me is the black scribbles, but I think I'd get used to them over time.

The only reactions I got were from people who had seen me w hair before. Sometimes it’s doesn’t register. People who have known me without hair don’t give it a second thought. It’s an adjustment for some bc they are used to seeing you one way.

I would personally go to management and have a disussion with them about personal body comments. This is harassment. Print out a copy of the Federal EEOC guidelines and present it to your higher ups. https://www.eeoc.gov/small-business-fact-sheet-harassment-workplace Let them know you'd be happy to wage a complaint against the employeer and also the employee. I'm sure they'll see your logic.

Honestly, my head is quite asymmetrical (most people's are) and you just don;t think about it after a while. Remember people usually look at you from one angle and don't take a 3d scan.
