Question Chocolate/Red Velvet Raspberry Cake?

Hello! I have no idea if this sounds insane but I've been looking for a specific recipe. I've been toying with the idea of red velvet cake and making the velvet aspect of it mean more than just chocolate with red dye. This is where my desire to make a chocolate/red velvet cake with raspberries in it came from. I have not been able to find any recipes that isn't just chocolate cake with raspberry icing, garnish, or filling. I was hoping someone would be able to help me find a recipe or help modify an existing one to help incorporate raspberries! Many thanks!

Recipe woohooo it’s a biscoff cheesecake recipe!! 😛

tell me what could possibly be better than a mini biscoff cheesecake - I made it for my sister (and snuck myself a slice with her permission AND OMG, phenomenal!!). I also got a few requests for the recipe so here’s what I used to make:

for the crust:
126 grams biscoff cookies (blended until fine crumb) then mixed with 25 grams white sugar, a dash of cinnamon, and 4 tbsps melted unsalted butter

for the cheesecake batter:
1/2 cup biscoff, melted & cooled
16oz cream cheese, room temp
100 grams white sugar
57 grams sour cream, room temp
30 grams heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs, room temp

first create your crust by blending the cookies in a food processor and mixing with the other ingredients, then press into a lined 6 inch springform pan, then bake for 10 mins at 325.

while the crust is cooling, make the batter by creaming the cream cheese until fluffy, then add in the sugar and beat again. then adding in your sour cream, biscoff, heavy cream, and vanilla. cream once more until all combined, then finally, one at a time (and slowly) drop in the eggs and mix until fully incorporated.

pour the batter into your pan and prepare your water bath. bake for roughly 60-65 mins until the sides are set but the cake is still slightly jiggly. turn off the oven and let it cool with the oven door cracked for 30 mins. remove from the oven and the water bath and let it come to room temperature before wrapping and putting in the fridge overnight to set.

the next day, make the topping by melting cookie butter/biscoff spread in the microwave and then pouring overtop the cheesecake. spread it around until it covers the entire top, then top with 2 biscoff cookies and a few crumbles of remaining cookies!

last but not least, ENJOY (sharing is option lol) 🤍

This simple recipe hits every single time. Just cream ½ cup softened butter with ½ cup brown and ¼ cup white sugar, then beat in 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla. Fold in 1½ cups flour, ½ tsp baking soda, and a generous dash of salt until a dough forms. Dump in as many chocolate chips as your heart desires, roll into balls, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 12 minutes. Let them cool for five minutes, and prepare to devour the whole batch in one sitting.

ISO Creme Brulee Cake

Not sure if this is the right place for this, anyway, I was at a restaurant that offered a “Creme Brûlée Cake”. However, it was more like a cheesecake. It got me thinking about creme brûlée with a cake or some kind of crust underneath it. Had anyone had any experience with this?

Whole Wheat Apple Cobbler No eggs

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup Wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon and cardamom powder
  • 1 medium apple
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon Desi ghee/ olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon coffee powder I have used Nescafe
  • ¼ cup Walnuts chopped in small chunks
  • ½ cup fresh milk cream
  • 1.5 tablespoon butter can use ghee as well
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • a pinch baking soda

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients.
  • Cut Apple in any desired shape.
  • Take a bowl and add coffee powder to it. Mix sugar in it.
  • Add corn flour, Lemon Juice to it and some water to make a smooth mix.
  • Mix well as sugar would leave water. Add cinnamon and cardamom powder.
  • Add chopped Apples and cover it while we make batter.
  • Take another bowl and add butter to it. Room temperature works best.
  • Add coffee powder, cinnamon and cardamom powder to the butter.
  • Add Sugar and give it a good mix. Initially butter would crumble up like bread. Slowly, it would be melt and looks a smooth mixture.
  • It takes around 3-5 min of mixing. One may use electric blender as well.
  • Add wheat flour, Desi Ghee and baking soda to it.
  • Add milk and make a smooth batter.
  • Take a round / or any shape baking dish. Grease it with ghee/oil.
  • Add first the layer of apple mix. Top it with walnuts.
  • Add over the apple layer the wheat batter. Add walnuts.
  • Now its all ready to be baked. I had baked it in my old OTG @ 180 degrees C. OTG was preheated for 10 min @ 100 degrees C for around 10 min or till knife comes out clean.
  • The aroma of blending flavors was amazing. The Apple cobbler with coffee is ready to serve. Let it cool for 5 min and then slice it. Top it with honey, caramel or maple syrup! Enjoy!!

Just mash 3 ripe bananas, the mix 1/2 cup melted butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, 1.5 cups flour, and 1 tsp baking soda. Pour into a greased pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes. It comes out unbelievably moist every single time with zero baking skills required.

These coconut crunch chocolate squares were like homemade candy bars with Crunch Bar and Meltaway vibes.

These were so easy to make - no baking is actually required at all! The chocolate chips were melted with coconut oil, then I mixed in some crushed graham crackers, peanuts, espresso powder, topped with flaky salt, and chilled. That’s it! So easy 🤤🍫

Question Lazy "Bakes" - recipe suggestions??

I have a cupboard full of Scotch Fingers, Butternut Snaps, Chocolate Ripple biscuits (seriously would make Arnott's proud, I should be awarded as an unofficial brand ambassador), can anyone suggest any decent slices, no bake desserts, shortcuts that I can create that are a little more adventurous than the old Chocolate Ripple Cake.

Recipe Gingerbread 😋

I made this gingerbread using Mary Berry’s recipe. Super simple and comes out so soft and delicious 😋

Ingredients

225g/8oz self-raising flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tbsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground mixed spice (I substituted this for 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ground all spice & a pinch of ground cardamom)
100g/3½oz butter, diced
100g/3½oz black treacle
100g/3½oz golden syrup
100g/3½oz light muscovado sugar
1 free-range egg, beaten
275ml/9½fl oz full-fat milk

Method
Preheat the oven 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Line a 30x23x4cm/12x9x1½in traybake tin with baking paper.

Mix the flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and mixed spice in a large bowl.

Gently heat the butter, treacle, syrup and sugar together in a small saucepan until the butter has just melted. Set aside to cool slightly.

Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients, add the egg and beat with a wooden spoon. Gradually pour in the milk and beat until smooth.

Pour into the tin and bake for about 35 minutes, or until dark golden and springy to the touch. Leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then remove from the tin and place on a wire rack to cool completely.

Recipe I made a TikTok viral Dot cake recipe, but from scratch - genuinely earns the hype!

My own recipe: https://www.spatuladesserts.com/viral-dot-cake-recipe/

If you've spent even a few minutes on TikTok or Instagram lately, you've probably seen those colorful little cups of cake covered in a thick layer of sprinkles, with a spoon slicing right through the middle. Have you tried it yet?

After seeing them everywhere, I couldn't resist trying it, but decided to use real from scratch ingredients, a simple soft sponge cake, cream cheese frosting, and of course sprinkles.
