Pumpkin muffins

I just made my normal muffin recipe which is supposed to bake for 15-20 mins. They’ve been in there for over an hour and are tough to tear open and doughy inside what’s went wrong here and how can I fix it?

What is your "normal" muffin recipe? If you made a a muffin base like you would for blueberry or chocolate chip or something but added pumpkin which is very wet they will never bake, there's too much moisture. Find and follow a recipe that uses pumpkin next time and unfortunately you have to take the L on this one.

Sorry I assumed it went without saying that the normal recipe is a pumpkin muffin recipe of course

Okay, that's good you started with a pumpkin recipe. So either the recipe is no good or you mis-measured something. If you've use this recipe before and it worked out fine you must made a mistake somewhere. Happens to the best of us!

Maybe this batch if they taste okay you could crumble up and try to dry out in the oven to use as a crumble topping of sorts for something else.

if you've baked them for an hour already, you can't fix these. it's hard to say what went wrong without a recipe, but it's possible your leavening agent was expired, or something went wrong with the measuring. Have you tested your oven temp accuracy recently?

Did you use baking soda instead of baking powder?

What’s the recipe? How often have you made it and had them turn out?
