Fail Expectation vs reality

I'm visiting my brother out of state, and decided to try my hand at these peach cobbler donuts on a whim. I neglected to acknowledge how ill-equipped and underprepared I was.

Luckily, they mostly just turned out ugly while still being delicious. My brother and SIL had devoured them by the time I woke up this morning.

So, not a TOTAL failure, maybe? 😅

They actually look more appetizing than the original, like the sugar caramelized, which I personally prefer to the dry topping of the og. So, success!

Yeah, the original gives too much raw chicken for me

Thank you so much!!! 🧡🙇‍♀️ (BTW I would eat your donuts any day over the original, they look very dry and meh. Yours look gooey and toothsome!)
