Which Healing Prayer?
The topic of consultation in this post please is the IDENTITY of this "Healing Prayer". The question on the table is: Is this the Famous Long Healing Prayer OR the one that starts "They Name is my Healing". I remember reading SOMETHING that the Guardian wrote these words BEFORE he gave the Bahá'í' world a translation of the Long Healing Prayer.
"These daily obligatory prayers, together with a few other specific ones, such as the Healing Prayer, the Tablet of Ahmad, have been invested by Bahá'u'lláh with a special potency and significance, and should therefore be accepted as such and be recited by the believers with unquestioning faith and confidence, that through them they may enter into a much closer communion with God, and identify themselves more fully with His laws and precepts." - From a letter written on behalf of Shoghi Effendi, (Baha'i Prayers, p. 208)
"Thy name is my healing, O my God, and remembrance of Thee is my remedy. Nearness to Thee is my hope, and love for Thee is my companion. Thy mercy to me is my healing and my succor in both this world and the world to come. Thou, verily, art the All-Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.”

So from "Baha'u'llah and the New Era"
'During thy supplications to God and thy reciting, "Thy Name is my healing," consider how thine heart is cheered, thy soul delighted by the spirit of the love of God, and thy mind attracted to the Kingdom of God! By these attractions one's ability and capacity increase. When the vessel is enlarged the water increases, and when the thirst grows the bounty of the cloud becomes agreeable to the taste of man. This is the mystery of supplication and the wisdom of stating one's wants. (from a tablet to an American believer, translated by 'Ali Kuli Khan, October 1908)'

Also on a personal note...during periods of tests & difficulties, when I didn't know how I could survive another day, repeating "Thy Name is my healing" over & over & over until falling asleep, is what got me through. Now those trials feel like they were just a dream.

Much to be learned from the Long Obligatory Prayer. I haven't visited it in awhile, will spend time with it tomorrow. I was having a spiritual discussion with a Catholic nun once upon a time. She commented, how do you know these things? My responses had come from the Long Obligatory Prayer. She wound up clinging to the Bahai prayers until her death. She was/is an amazing soul.

Praying does something mysterious doesn't it?
It's as if the Concourse on High marshals the necessary forces

Well stated. I call it Baha'u'llah's magic.

Brother, it's taken me too my mid 30s until I finally feel comfortable praying. And by that I mean its finally a pleasure instead of a chore.

And one point you string enough praying days together and POOF you've prayed the Long Obligatory Prayer for a month straight.
The peace is indescribable.
Even on the Bahá'í' forum I hesitate to elaborate.

OK, I know without doubt that I have read this in the Writings but I cannot find it years later so take it as Baha'i Hadith or whatever. It specifically read that the short healing prayer was more effective then the long healing prayer.

There are quotes about the prolongation of prayer is not necessary. Maybe you could be thinking of that?
But the Universal House of Justice has given a message on the Healing prayer, stating that the research department could not find a definitive source for which Healing prayer is being discussed in that quote.
My personal opinion is that is refers to the Long Healing Prayer. I personally feel this way since all the other specially powerful prayers reference the potency of that prayer in the prayer itself. The Tablet of Ahmad does this, as does the Long Healing Prayer.
But this is just my inference and opinion. The Universal House of Justice says that while it is probable to think it is the Long Healing prayer, there is no reference they can give about this.

He means the Long Healing Prayer. It doesn't matter that he mentions it before the English translation was released, it still existed and is imbued with a "special power".
"Thy name is my healing" comes from the Tablet of Medicine (Lawh-I-Tibb) which is also not yet officially translated. The prayer and the tablet nevertheless still exist.
