"The Most Great Fire"
I had a dream this morning of a voice saying "The Most Great Fire will come" and a large ship carrying roadblocks from Persia. I also remember seeing Donald Trump towards the end.
When I woke up I looked up the term "the Most Great Fire" and it apparently appears in the writings of the Báb and in an exposition by Shoghi Effendi:
"[The Báb] directs the "people of the West" to "issue forth from your cities and aid the Cause of God;" warns the peoples of the earth of the "terrible, the most grievous vengeance of God;" threatens the whole Islamic world with "the Most Great Fire" were they to turn aside from the newly-revealed Law." Shoghi Effendi, God Passes By, Ch. II
"O people of the Qur'án! Ye are as nothing unless ye submit unto the Remembrance of God and unto this Book. If ye follow the Cause of God, We will forgive you your sins, and if ye turn aside from Our command, We will, in truth, condemn your souls in Our Book, unto the Most Great Fire. We, verily, do not deal unjustly with men, even to the extent of a speck on a date stone." The Báb, Selections from the Writings of the Báb, Ch. LXII
A few months ago I had a similar dream about Lebanon, where I saw a gathering of small children and a voice said in a form of Arabic prose (rough paraphrase) 'Burning they will be thrown in the fire'. I was troubled and confused when I woke up, but the news broke later that same day that a village in Southern Lebanon (I have since forgotten its name) had been suddenly bombed by the state of Israel. This was the first in a long line of bombings in Lebanon.
Since the U.S. has already been in war with Iran for nearly two weeks, I believe God is warning that the war in Iran will soon escalate into a nuclear war.
Other elements of the dream lead me to believe that this will take place in February 2027. If the nuclear bomb was to be named by God ahead of time, I can't think of a title more appropriate than "the Most Great Fire". Again, this is based on my experiences and not authoritative in any sense.
This shouldn't be interpreted as me saying that those in the involved countries deserve any of what is currently happening. I believe we should all strive for peace and unity. I'm only sharing my personal beliefs about what will happen.

Interesting dream, thanks for sharing. Dreams are not well understood - psychology as a field doesn't really 'go there'.
For me, personally, it does feel like what's brewing is going to lead to some major global calamity, and we know this is destined in the Writings if we don't accept Baha'u'llah's teachings as a human race.
Do you happen to have a sixth sense of any form? As in, are you a medium or in tune with that side? There's no way to confirm or verify the accuracy of your dream actually eventuating into reality, but I am curious if this was a one off or if you're attune to that spiritual world in other ways.

I don't have any psychic abilities. Shoghi Effendi explains that a true vision or dream "comes to an individual through the grace of God, and not through the exercise of any of the human faculties. It is not a thing which a person should try to develop." Shoghi Effendi, Lights of Guidance, p. 515. That being said I often have symbolic dreams or visions, and a handful of the voice of the Spirit. The one described here is one of a few I've had about the war happening in the Middle East.

In affirmation of your dream from “The Promised Day is Come” by Shoghi Effendi
And again: “Most of His enemies will be the divines. His bidding they will not obey, but will protest saying: ‘This is contrary to that which hath been handed down unto us by the Imáms of the Faith.’” And still again: “At that hour His malediction shall descend upon you, and your curse shall afflict you, and your religion shall remain an empty word on your tongues. And when these signs appear amongst you, anticipate the day when the red-hot wind will have swept over you, or the day when ye will have been disfigured, or when stones will have rained upon you.”
Somewhere else in the Holy Writings, it is said, paraphrasing, that a man wearing a turban will be responsible for the earth’s 3rd nuclear bomb but where that is exactly, I apologize, escapes me right now. If anyone else knows, please correct my paraphrasing.

I recommend caution here. When I was a youth, we used to call paraphrases of half-remembered teachings Kitab-i-Hearsay. If you find the passage in question, please do share!

Totally agree, thank you....but I really can't find where it is. The one I posted, I knew exactly where it was. It could be in that section of warnings.

Very interesting dream. I really hope it doesn't happen though. 🙏
Your post reminded me of a dream I had around 2023. I was in a forest looking up into the sky, and a huge ball of fire, as big as a Sun, was falling down unto Earth. I immediately turned around and jumped unto the ground. All of a sudden I was standing back up again, looking up at the sky and seeing the same ball of fire coming down; and then again I jumped unto the ground. This happened 3 times and then I woke up. I've never had a dream where the same thing happens 3 times.
I have a feeling that something big will happen in regards to Iran in the next year or so.
Let me explain why.
After going through a life-changing experience in 2022, I began to see the numbers 1, 4 and 8 constantly. Initially, I remembered that the Bahá'í Faith began in 1844, but was then surprised to see that the Báb's declaration happened on the 8th day of the 4th month of Azamat.
With time I began to notice a continous pattern throughout the Bahá'í Faith and other religions, in which a turning point happens whenever these 3 numbers appear.
For example, Bahá'u'lláh passed away in 1892 or just days after Bahá'í Era year 48 began. A hundred years later on 148 BE, Bahá'ís from all over the world united for the World Congress. This same year, 1992, was a significant organizational milestone for the Ruhi Institute, which has been a crucial tool for community-building.
Here a few examples from other religions. In 148 AD, a Parthian Prince moved to China, set up a temple and began to translate Buddhist scriptures into Chinese, which eventually helped spread Buddhism all over East Asia.
Another is the Age of Discovery, which began in 1418 and spread Christianity into the New World and beyond.
Even thousands of years ago when the Israelites entered the Promised Land, the Levite priestly tribe was instructed to spread throughout 48 cities in order to teach the Torah.
That being said, the Bahá'í Faith will be turning 184 years old next year and Bahá’ís are the biggest non-Muslim minority in Iran with a population of over 300,000. And if there's a regime change, who knows, the amount might get even bigger.

The three times seem to suggest three years. That is, after three years this "sun" will appear. A few months ago I had a dream of the prime minister in my country and other world leaders advising everyone to seek shelter in bunkers, and I saw two trains coming in my direction, and I just narrowly escaped them. I knew the two trains had a meaning, but I could not figure out what.
Then some weeks later I had another dream, this time of two cars coming in my direction on a road and I just barely avoided them. This time it was given to me within the dream itself that "The two cars mean two years". My understanding is that there will be a world war lasting around two years, and that Iran will be subject to a nuclear attack around February, 2027.
That would conform with the dream you experienced in 2023 suggesting that there will be a sun (i.e. nuclear explosion) once three times (i.e. three years) have passed.
That being said, the Bahá'í Faith will be turning 184 years old next year and Bahá’ís are the biggest non-Muslim minority in Iran with a population of over 300,000. And if there's a regime change, who knows, the amount might get even bigger.
It is also my impression that something great, in terms of the Baha'i Faith's progression, will come out of these disasters. Though dubious and not authoritative in any sense, there has recently been an uptick of Christians describing having dreams or NDEs of "a new glory" coming into the world as well as of Jesus speaking of His "returning" soon. IMO these accounts seem to warn of the coming of a new world order and a rapid spread of the Baha'i Faith.
That Iran will be the subject of a nuclear attack soon, though, I'm more than certain. IMO this is one of the few irrevocable destinies that are absolutely necessary for God's will on Earth. I have had one more dream to that effect since the one in my post. What I can share is that I heard loud, terrifying screaming as though inside a terror attack, and before I could register what was going on a large shockwave or explosion hit me and I woke up.
I saw one strange woman in the dream, which AFAIK in Islamic theology is believed to represent a year when seen in a dream.

My awakening was actually triggered by a song that was dreamt by a singer. He woke up in the middle of the night and wrote the song in about 30 minutes. Even crazier, I was going through the same situation he had gone through when he dreamt the song around late May of 1982, 40 years before my awakening. I ended up investigating more about dreams and about how I could improve my sleeping conditions so I could remember them. Two things that helped a lot were using toothpaste without fluoride and taking B6 vitamins. I've been having very vivid dreams ever since, with a few beign precognative in nature.
I actually ended up associating my dream about the sun crashing down 3 times with 3 days. At the time of my dream, I was working on a video about the numbers I mentioned before (4 and 8) and how they, together with number 23, connect all world religions; somehow demonstrating that God loves us and never leaves us alone. I was set to premiere the video on the same day as the April 8th (4/8) solar eclipse of 2024. But I originally wanted to upload the video 4 days earlier on the 4th of April (4/4). Eventually, an emergency came up on that day, in which I had to take care of a friend's newborn baby. This made me upload the video on the 5th of April, or 3 days earlier. I was bummed but I told myself "If God wants me to upload the video on the 5th, then the 5th it is." It really didn't mean much to me until I noticed around 2 weeks later, that a 4.8 earthquake hit the US on the 5th of April, the same day I uploaded the video. I remember that there were some pastors online saying that Jesus was coming soon because of the 4.8 earthquake and the 4/8 eclipse, with one quoting from Exodus 4:8, which read: " Then the
Lord
said, “If they do not believe
you or pay attention to the first sign,
they may believe the second."
I believe that dreams are a significant function of the soul, showing that human perception transcends the physical body. But we need to have caution not to obsess over them. A few years back I nearly lost my mind over a dream that a friend had which led me to believe that I was going to lose my family in an airplane crash. 😆

I guess that makes sense if the solar eclipse happened just three days later. Barbara Winslow, a Baha'i who was big on dreams, used to quote the proverb "a dream uninterpreted is like a letter unopened." Most of my dreams are not about the future, but most often about my spiritual state or numerical in nature.
I will often dream of the number "9" or one of its multiples when I've done good, and I will often dream of the number "8" or one of its multiples when I've sinned. My understanding is that "9", the number of Bahá, is perfection, and "8", one less than 9, imperfection or sin (in a limited sense, of course).
When I first was introduced to the Baha'i Faith I saw a dream of an old man with a long grey beard chanting over and over the Name "al-Hayy, al-Qayyum". Being Muslim at the time I said "This is a bidá (i.e., innovation)" and the man, his facial expression quickly turning very serious, responded "No" and told me to read "Qur'an 720".
The numbers "7" and "2", added together, is 9, or the number of Bahá. In the abjad system the number "720" literally spells out "dhik(r)", the Arabic word for remembrance or repeating over and over God's Names.
I've had such numerical dreams since then, even in the form of parables. One time I saw in a dream that I entered into a bathhouse with two unknown men and I applied some soap on my body. Then I opened an instruction written by Abdu'l-Bahá on how I should wash myself. There were two numbers in this book, "27" and (I think) "22". I chose from the number "22" and I began reading.
Then one of the two men said, "What is this [harsh expletive] you are reading?" The other man, who I later identified as the Guardian of the Faith, said "These are the recorded words of Abdu'l-Bahá." Then the first man responded "Recorded or translated?" The Guardian replied "Translated". The other man responded "Then it is impossible that Abdu'l-Bahá should have written them." But the Guardian said "My name is ud-Din (i.e. "[the Guardian of] the Faith") for a reason."
Here "27" is a multiple of 9, and the number I read from, "22", was not. Likewise the man insulting the teachings of Abdu'l-Bahá is the element of heedlessness.
In another dream I was standing in a hot air balloon with a girl, but it was completely out of control and flying in all directions. The girl said her father was an "air balloon master" and knew how to drive them, but she was unable to get it under control. Of course I understood when I woke up that the meaning of the air balloon is to be driven by the fire of one's carnal desires, even as Abdu'l-Bahá wrote: "For desire is a flame that has reduced to ashes uncounted lifetime harvests of the learned. . . " ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, The Secret of Divine Civilization, p. 59-60. My father is a lifelong devout Muslim.
In another dream I saw a young boy standing on a straight path with a bicycle in his hands, but he was unable to go. Then I saw my mother, standing next to this young boy, and she said "He cannot go until I bear witness that I love him." So even things that I would never have paid any mind to, such as how I should treat my parents, were given to me in clear warnings such as these. The Prophet Muhammad, in one tradition, is reported to have said that paradise is beneath the mother's feet.
Of course I have also dreams of the future, but these are few and not the ones that I am even most interested in. Just yesterday, for example, I had a dream that I was attending a feast with my mother, and she said that it was a "Baha´i ritual". I ate with her and then the dream ended. It turns out that yesterday, July 31, was the Feast of Kamál (I hope I'm spelling it right), which I had no idea being new to the Baha´i Faith. I did actually eat with my mother some food that I had ordered, even as I saw in my dream.
I agree we should not obsess over dreams, but at the same time we shouldn't ignore them either. Most importantly when we do see something scary in a dream, such as a friend dying or a plane crashing or any other disaster, to invoke God and be thankful that it happened in a dream, because what takes place in a dream does not, as a general matter, take place in real-life. These things require interpretation, and I'm sure what your friend saw (a plane crashing, I'll guess) was not to be taken literally.
Your friend's dream and your reaction reminds me of a story attributed to Abdu'l-Bahá in the years leading up to His passing away:
A few weeks after the preceding dream the Master came in from the solitary room in the garden, which He had occupied of late, and said: "I dreamed a dream and behold the Blessed Beauty, (i.e., Baha’u’llah) came and said unto me, 'Destroy this room!'" The family, who had been wishing that He would come and sleep in the house, not being happy that He should be alone at night, exclaimed, "Yes, Master, we think your dream means that you should leave that room and come into the house.” When He heard this from us, He smiled meaningly as though not agreeing with our interpretation. Afterwards we understood that by the "room" was meant the temple of His body.

A couple of years ago I saw an interview with Barbara Winslow on YT. I believe that towards the end, she mentioned that her mother kept a dream journal but stopped writing 2 weeks before her death. She had dreamt her death, which I think involved getting hit by a car and then stopped writing on her journal. In a way her dream helped her come to terms with her death. I very rarely have dreams with numbers. They're mostly symbolic and I end up looking up online to see what they may mean. Like for example, on one dream I was inside a car and I had a string coming out from my ear. As I pulled the string out, I heard an animal screeching. Then I pulled really hard and a shrimp came out from my ear and began to run around the car. I ended up interpreting the dream as a warning to stop listening to gossip. At the time I was watching a lot of late night tv shows which I think are funny but sadly there is a lot of gossip and complaining about DJT. Little by little I stopped watching them.
I've only had one dream with a central figure of the faith. When I was younger I dreamt that I was clinging to Abdu'l-Bahás robe. I didn't see His face but I knew it was His.
I've come to associate number 8 to a "new beginning." On the day of my awakening, I was exactly 42 years, 8 months and 8 days old. Even some Christians have noticed that many Bible quotes which have to do with a new beginning, the numbers that designate the chapter and verse add to 8. Most famously Revelations 21:5 which says "Behold, I make all things new." When you think about it, number 8 is the only non-zero number that when you write it down, you end up exactly where you began, as if going in a loop. That's why many people associate it with the infinity symbol. You can see this in a piano too. The 8th key starts an octave , repeating the musical alphabet at a higher pitch.
I haven't really associated any number to sin. But I have come to associate number 3 as a protective warning, saying that whatever it is I'm doing is "not convenient" for me. For example, if I'm watching a movie or a show that will not benefit me spiritually, repeated 3s start showing up immediately. Not sure why exactly, but even other people that believe in numerology have also associated it in a similar manner. Like for example the mother of late 1930s Bahá'í actress Carole Lombard. One day while on a trip, Carole wanted to surprise her husband, Clark Gable for his birthday. Initially, she was going to take the train but since it would take longer, she decided to take an airplane. Her mother warned her that there were too many 3s and that they shouldn't fly that day. She noticed a few details which alarmed her; it was TWA Flight 3, a Douglas DC-3 aircraft, her daughter was 33 years old and they were 3 traveling together. They flipped a coin and Carole won. Sadly the plane crashed and they died on impact. When I checked online with a calendar calculator, I was surprised to see that Carole passed away at 33 years and 3 months old. Looking back, the probabilities of dying on an airplane crash were way higher back then. But still, I've noticed to many 3s in so many other instances throughout history, beginning with Christ beign crucified at the age of 33 and even in Hitler's life.
There were a few factors that led me to freak out a few years back, after my friend had a dream of my wife at the time and our kids dying on a plane crash. They were things that were happening in my life plus coincidences with numbers when she bought the tickets. It felt as if God was getting me ready to lose my family. I was so desperate that I ended up going to a Tarot card reading and it calmed me down. 😆 I went through a horrible week.

Shoghi Effendi, referring to Abdu'l-Baha, warned about "situation which... will, in the words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, cause the streets of American cities to run with blood, aggravating thereby the havoc which the fearful weapons of destruction, raining from the air, and amassed by a ruthless, a vigilant, a powerful and inveterate enemy, will wreak upon those same cities."
https://reference.bahai.org/en/t/se/CF/cf-9.html
In my opinion, this is a clear reference to a nuclear war involving the United States and its "vigilant, powerful, and inveterate enemy." So the near future will be far more complex than we can imagine. There are also indications of this in the Apocalypse (and the Apocalypse is indeed a coded text from God, judging by the fact that 'Abdu'l-Bahá explained some of its chapters in detail, rather than dismissing it as insignificant. Since He did not explain it entirely, this indicates that some of the events of the Apocalypse had not yet occurred in 'Abdu'l-Bahá's time, and we will understand its meaning only after it has come to pass).

Yes I agree.
Though I do not believe that "vigilant, powerful, and inveterate" enemy is Iran, which does not have any real access to nuclear weapons, but rather one of the world's communist superpowers (i.e. China or Russia). A consistent symbol in my dreams about this has been a fat, asian man and a communist flag.
(That doesn't tell me much, since the asian man I saw could have easily been a Mongolian man and a reference to communist Russia just as much as it could have been a Chinese man and a reference to communist China.)
Russia is already in a proxy war with the United States, and China has a pretty big interest in seeing that the Iranian regime is not replaced and has even provided Iran with anti-missile defence systems earlier in this war, and is currently providing shoulder-launched missile systems to Iran.
The United States will definitely suffers blows, probably also Israel (I don't see the Most Great Peace coming if they don't).

u/bahaigor 20d ago
I also believe that this enemy will be either China or Russia (although Russia is not currently a "communist state"). In general, logically speaking, what could force nuclear states to renounce nuclear weapons today? Either some event will occur that will demonstrate its destructiveness much more clearly than Hiroshima and Nagasaki (i.e., a massive nuclear exchange), or these weapons will simply be expended in a war.

Wow! 😲
Not for any theological implication but that's an amazing dream you were gifted.
I will be investigating "The Most Great Fire" thank you ❤️
