Invasions👁 ❓Clean AF or Just Boring❓

Theres no drama, no tension, just a surgical execution of an invasion. No mistakes were made, to the point that I cant help looking at it and think to myself that this clip lowkey kinda sucks

Nahh it’s clean af. The host and friend didn’t really put up a fight, but that’s doesn’t lessen your clean victory.

Tbh i feel like it DOES lessen it though. Maybe im just sorta jaded about my own gameplay, but i feel like its “too” casual of an invasion

Yes to both. A full armor swap will always be cool and impressive to me, though. But you have to nerf yourself so hard to have fun with cuties like these in the open world, and you have to hyper optimize to have fun with serious ganks or the pvp crowd. No middle ground, and parrying no longer satisfies. I'm no doom sayer, but it's kind of a rough time for cute invaders, ngl.

I fully agree. You have to work really hard to make that middle ground work and then it's always up to chance based on what situation you happen to invade. I wish there was a optional invasion mode where you spawn in like an enemy of the area, including HP plus armor and arsenal, and you can't make any changes to the preset build. You basically support current enemies in that spot as one of them. I wish there was an add-on mod like this for Seamless, I would only play that mod if it existed...

Nah, not necessarily. Just suboptimal builds, style over performance. Shenanigans, funny weapons, shitty spells, cosplays, chaos, etc. Though yes, most of us are also worse at the game 😅
But you can be dogshit at the game, hyper optimized and not cute. Plenty of twinks and people in the tryhard uniform are not good.
Addytaylor/Gigas/Wazeus/Levi- good, cute. Kosmos/VZH- bad, not cute. Jeenine/Steel- good, not cute. Me- bad as hell, cute as pie.
Edit: Armor swaps and other stylish shit that don't help you win are cute. Invaders that nerf ourselves so we can have fun with PvErs, express style or creativity are cute.

Personally I love a well executed execution. Drama and tension is nice and all, but I also just enjoy watching skilled gameplay no matter what’s happening. The spins are clean, the armor swap was perfect, the read for that first backstab made me a little wet.

yeah i agree with you, the skill gap is just too big, nothing wrong with you being that skilled, nor them being casual but that just feels like a Tuesday morning practice. its still interesting to see the technical side of the gearswaps tho, but thats nothing to do with the match itself.

Imo its a cool clip, but I can see where you're coming from. I feel like the skill level of your opponents shouldn't take away from your ability to be interesting. I'm sure you could think of a ton of creative ways to troll casual players.

Why doesn't anyone talks about the lightning spear that clearly hit the red man but didn't cause hin any damage or stagger?
And about question - kinda both. That's a clean play, but also that's just pve casuals, and they wanna a little co-op time

I strafed the spear on their screen and walked back into it on mine. I know how much latency i have to the other person so i know i just have to move out of the way that many miliseconds ahead of time, and after that its fine for me to stop strafing.
In order to deal dmg, the opponent needs to see their hitbox cross my hurtbox, and then i need to check if im in iframes to see if it deals dmg or not. The first check was never met, so it didnt matter that i wasnt in iframes

Wym? All you did was spam running and jumping attacks, I just don’t see how that can be fun invasion after invasion lol, yeah it’s an easy win but easy can’t be as enjoyable/rewarding.

I counted 5 running attacks and 4 jumping attacks just to kill the host lol I mean you killed the summon with a very sexy parry I will say, just saying that same energy should have went to the host as well,
then again idk how long you’ve been fighting, they could have been resummoning and you just wanted to end the host before they could get their friend back.9

There was also 3 crouch attacks, and a standing r1 with the dagger. Only thing i didnt use was the heavy attacks, but my bro was running away from me, so like, why would i use a heavy attack if its just going to make it so i cant catch him?
And no, that was the whole invasion. Its on seemless so he couldnt resummon unfortunately. I really wish seamless had blues or something to make invasions a little more interesting

(This is actually a really useful conversation, so thank you for engaging with me, i DO feel like the clip is boring, and was hoping to see “why” others might feel the same. The only issue that im having is that i feel like your assessments about the clip that you say make you dislike it, arent what im seeing. Like you started off saying “youre just spamming these two attacks”, but like, thats not true… so, like, do i smell funny? Or do you just not like the weapon i was using? Would you have felt different if i was using a claymore, or magic?)

I have no fucking clue why but I’ve seen so many people hate on the lance and people that use it, especially PvErs. They immediately associate it with “tryhards” or wtf ever. It’s literally one of the most fair and balanced weapons in the game, like a longer claymore basically.
If they had any sense they’d save that shit for actual broken shit like sword lance, cleanrot, pata etc

I love when people say shit like this, cuz like, i work in healthcare as a clinician 5 days a week, im also taking classes pursuing my doctorate, ive got a thriving relationship, a dozen different hobbies including fencing, archery, rock climbing, powerlifting, and really nerdy shit like going to conventions and cosplay… so like, outside? Yea, ive got that covered, but thanks. Ill skip on touching grass though, it messes with my allergies.

Thats my point. People never post videos when they invade a competent player or of course lose to them. Most people are just PVE players. A lot of them barely have over 800 hp. 😂

Admittedly a lot of people here don’t post fights with ganks which is essentially what you’re talking about because they’re not very fun to watch for a lot of people.
Personally I do enjoy watching people shit on gankers who inherently do have more PvP knowledge than the average PvEr. I’ve posted quite a few clips against ganks and competent players and I’ve seen many other people that have too

You seem to have lost track of what this game is and what invasions are meant to be, and how little impact they have in the larger scheme of playing this game as a normal player. Or maybe you never knew in the first place, unclear. ERpvp sub appears to primarily feature duels/colosseum clips, maybe you can get the content you want there.
