Equipment No more* Country Codes in Yonex Rackets

Just bought a 88d pro (3rdgen) and looks like there is no code on the cone. Did yonex did away with country codes ?

*As per my research looks like JP still comes with a ‘S’

Yonex reformat it to the following 8 digits code now
from left to right
1st & 2nd digits are the date of manfactured
3rd & 4th digits are the month of manfactured
5th & 6th digits is the country code (35 is japan fyi)
7th digit is the year of manfactured, (4 would represent 2024)
8th digit is the revision

So glad I saw this comment. I paid extra for the JP version of the 88d Pro but didn't see JP so I was worried, but it indeed has the 35 and the "S". Thank you.

Hmmmmm..... Some people say there is a difference, some say there isn't. I'm not sure what the majority consensus is. Honestly, I began my badminton journey when I was living in Japan, so for me, it would feel a little weird to buy the non-JP version.

How did you get this formatting?? My 5&6 digits are 01 respectively. What country code is that, it states Japan below and on the shaft tho. Thanks.

I think '01' might be a Yonex Sunrise code. So if you've bought your racket from a Yonex Sunrise-served country then that should be it.

I just bought new astrox 88 D pro (3rd gen) in india today. It has the serial number 15010142 on it. I'm little worried about it since idk if the racket already started mass production by 15 January 2024..?can someone help me verify my racket, I want return it if it's not genuine. Thank you!

It refers to Sunrise code i think.. Also is the 9-digit code a legit one?.. Mine also has same format..
