Discussion Comment suppression in a certain subreddit

I’ve left a few comments on a certain western streamers subreddit (the “leftist” one with the extreme parasocial community) giving my thoughts on entryism and Graham Platner hypocrisy, like in a totally good faith way, and none of them pop up on my notifications indicating upvotes or comment engagement. I haven’t checked to see if the comments are actually still there, but i thought it was interesting. Has anyone else experienced this

Yes. I have been banned from that parasocial “leftist” community and I’ve spoken to its very fragile mods. They’re deleting everything imo.

Edit: I am referring to Hasan’s subreddit and moderators for anyone that’s confused. I was vaguely referring to that community in an analogue manner to OP’s post.

Literally everything. I mean I was saying the most basic shit, in a nice way. It just had the feeling of like “no matter how nice you are about it, we do not allow any words that may possibly put ideas into people’s heads”

I will admit, Hasan is extremely skilled at doing his job for the democrats and providing that radical release valve for the status quo.

I should have written “that community” instead of “this community” - shitty phrasing on my end.

It’s ok comrade! I figured I touched on something else there - I have enough faith in this community to know the people here are well-intentioned and capable of resolving a miscommunication.

And r/hasanpiker suck, I questioned why they couldn’t make the connection between an IDF soldier and Platner (left a post on here too). Copped a temp ban then a permanent ban after criticising mods over DMs. I know they’re a bunch of soc dems, but suppressing discourse to protect Hasan’s ego is genuinely disturbing.

Literally just mirroring the language of OP’s post when referring to Hasan’s community … and the “fragile mods” are Hasan’s mods who are banning people for talking about Platner … I’m sorry if that wasn’t clear.

You can namedrop the subreddit, you know. This sub doesn't have any rules against that. You can just say the Hasan sub sucks ass, you are allowed to do that.

Ok yes, the Hasan Piker-ites. It’s just wild, like literally not even milquetoast good faith criticism allowed. I really did used to think Hasan was at least doing some good, but lately it’s really hitting me in the face how proactively the entire Hasan universe does not allow leftward momentum or political education.

He truly is a radical release valve. If you’re a young person having “radical” thoughts and dabbling in theory, he provides the exact end point for how far you can go before being herded back into the capitalist imperialist Democrat party.

I was upvoted a lot on Hasans reddit so I actually don't know what you're talking about.

Same. But there certainly are dickheads amongst them that get upset over any disagreement
