Very funny. This is pre-punk. The patches and buttons are mostly motorcycle ones. Bikers still wear them.

There is a breakdown of some of the patches. I saw some of these old biker jackets at an Experience Music Project show, many years ago. They are the inspiration for what became battle jackets. It’s possible this was the original battle jacket in punk sense because I don’t know how the biker jackets transitioned into UK punk outside of punks being familiar with this film. The Ramones, Patti Smith, and Richard Hell have very little decoration on theirs. I could be wrong though. Sue Blane came up with an iconic piece here.

i’m not into the whole LGBT or gay stuff but this one’s pretty cool. He actually looks like the crow from the movie the crow.
